there will be a lot of angst and lore, meaning there will be a lot of chapters, so strap in. 

for those who don't know the rules or how the Hunger Games work, here is an explanation.

there was a war a long time ago between the all powerful and privileged Capitol and the 13 districts who served them. the Capitol, with the resources of the districts, win the war and send most of the districts into poverty. District 13, which produced nuclear weapons, is decimated.

the 12 districts work under the Capitol, each for a different material source that they don't get any of. some districts, like 1, 2, 4 and 7 are pet by the Capitol and have an advantage in the Hunger Games. here is the list of district materials:

1- jewelry and luxury
2- defence/policing
3- tech
4- fishing
5- power
6- transportation
7- lumber
8- textiles/fabrics
9- grains
10- livestock
11- fruits and veggies
12- coal mining

i came up with this story during a deluded mind lilt at 4 in the morning one Sunday night, in the dim lamplight of the yellowed bulb crammed in the corner of my room. i then wrote it down in a discord chat with one of my closest friends, and began the meticulous process of assigning districts, deaths and romances to each character.

in this story, it is not 1 boy and 1 girl from every district as a tribute to the Hunger Games, because a lot of the best dynamic teams are of the same gender.

i will try to update frequently, but due to my location and C*vid cases, i have mandatory school, so i'll have to write more before and after school. sorry in advance if the chapters are even just weekly because of how hard i'm going to comb through and edit these.

this welcome is messy and impromptu, but i hope that you understand the point i'm trying to get across. if you don't watch/read Hunger Games, don't worry, because it'll make more sense as the chapters unfold.
