“Hey, are you watching the game this Saturday?”
Lou was apparently in deep conversation with her buddies for the last –I checked my watch, eight minutes and they seem unaware that I was actually around. Which was great, since I didn’t want them to know I was around.
I sighed but I quickly shut my mouth, afraid that they would hear me. So far they haven’t caught on yet.
“This Saturday? Are you serious, we have remedials, remember?” Lucas shot back in a bummed out tone.
“Remedials? I thought if we passed the written quiz last Tuesday we won’t have to do that?”
I can almost imagine Lou’s face as she said that. I smiled to myself a bit despite the situation I’m in.
“Don’t tell me you passed?”
“I did.”
“Seriously?! Come on. Don’t tell me, you’d watch the game without us?”
“Us?”
“Yeah. Us. Me and Spencer, who else?”
“Whoah, whoah. Hold up.” I almost felt my heart stopped when I heard Spencer spoke up. I bit my lip under my breath so he wouldn’t hear my teeth chatter. I felt myself tremble, in fear of being found from my hiding spot.
“I actually passed too.” Spencer said, in his usual I’m-so-smart-your-so-dumb voice, Ugh! I hated him so much, it made me want to jump out of hiding and wipe off that stupid grin, I knew, was spreading across his face. How dare he talk that way to Lucas? I felt a growl coming on but I held it back.
If I do that, then I’d jeopardized my own safety and he would know I was amongst them.
“You too? Man! I thought we were friends. What kind of bro’s are you, leaving a bro hanging like that,” Lucas whined, hearing him though made all the anger I had building inside me get flushed away from my system.
“It’s not that bad, I think Tabitha’s taking the remedials too,” Lou answered after a while, “Sides’ I’ll make sure I record it for ya’ so ya’know, we can rewatch it again, once you’re done.”
“Whatever.”
Ugh. I think my legs fell asleep, I was hardly feeling any sensation coming from it anymore. I tried shifting in my seat and then I suddenly caught a whiff of something. Why does this place started to smell like old rotten cheese? Ew. I braced my stomach, the smell was so strong, and it made me want to throw up.
“Speaking of that little prick, where is she?” Spencer asked after a while, he didn’t sound angry, or frustrated, or pushy. He sounded like he was just curious not seeing me around –but then again, the guy was an amazing bluffer. He knew how to hide what he actually thought from people. Like how he caught the eye of hundreds of other students and teacher in CAU without letting them know how awful and an asshole he actually was.
