Sand baths; a room filled with heated sand, used for drying feathers. Usually a public or communal area. Though taking partners for dates to sit in sand baths has been seen before.

That's a big link. Anyhow that is what George has. He's a Blue Jay though so picture a Jay and not a Robin.
LOCATIONS:
George's apartment: a small one bedroom, one bathroom apartment. The apartment building is shared with multiple other people. Landlady lives in the apartment building. The apartments are very sleek with gray walls and white accents. The communal area in the apartment building consists of a sand bath, hangouts and door to the landladies place.
Allistowne; a smaller coastal town. Though in population closer to a city. This is where George's apartment building can be found. With a very wet climate. Allistowne has a large populations of sea birds, including Osprey.
Goldi: One of the three major countries. Very technologically advanced. Neutral with Vermillion, but there's silent aggression with Lazurite.
Vermillion: The smallest of the three countries. Just kinda there, Allied with Lazurite, neutral with Goldi.
Lazurite: The largest of the three countries Not as tech savvy, but overpowers with brute force. Allied with Vermillion, but there's some quiet aggression with Goldi. (It's more a dominance thing)
Icarus, basically their version of god. When used in speech it replaces cursing example: "Oh my god." Would be "Oh my Icarus." It occasionally replaces other curses.
Wings; they grow from the shoulder blade. Develop when younger. They are very sensitive and in certain situations touching them can be seen as some form of a romantic gesture.
The Ulnar Academy: A massive university found in Goldi. Sort of like old mansion, but more wood and a school. The dorms are on the two sides of campus, split by gender. As I said very old mansion type thing. It's closer to the coast. Also the school is known between all three of the countries. Students are either rich and paid their way in or very commonly are brought in on a physical or academic scholarship.
School Strands:
Academic Strand; the smarts. The fancy. The coding tech for Goldi.
Physical Strand; the muscle. The school deems they could use a students physical capabilities.
Hawks, Eagles and Falcons usually are in the physical strand where Crows and Corvids (which are known to be smarter if we're talking about real life birds.) Take the academic strand.

Ahem, The Ulnar Academy is a government funded thing. By the end of the first year the school will pick five students. The best suited students. And take them on into government training. Where they while be used against Lazurite in a more silent war.
Once said students are invited to the government side of things they are able to create a signature. In which they are branded with, between the shoulder blades. The students create the signature themselves.
