Chapter 18,"Preparation For The Day!"

"S-Sometimes I cant deal with you..."

I mumble,covering my mouth with my hand.
Nagito smiles.

"Oh!By the way."

I blurt out.Nagito tilts his head to me confused.

"Nanami invited us out later today."

"You mean your mistress?"

Nagito asks,genuinely confused.
I sigh,annoyed.

"She isnt my mistress.Shes my friend.She invited us to the mall with our other friend around 2 pm."

"Hm?What about Hinaeda?We cant just leave him here."

Nagito frowns.
I hold my chin and look down at Hinaeda in my lap.
I stare into his big green eyes and think.

"Ah!We can ask Saihara to babysit!"

I suggest.Nagito pauses for a second then shakes his head.

"He needs to recover from his injury,and I dont wanna bother Kyoko,Makoto and the others..."

Nagito sighs as he places the closed file on the nightstand.
Nagito then realizes something.

"Lets ask Oma!"

Nagito smiles sweetly.I give him a irritated look.

"Nagito...no-,Nagito....no,j-just no."

"Why not?"

Nagito pouts,I cross my arms.

"I want to come back home to Hinaeda...you know....alive?"

"Oma isnt that bad!"

Nagito chuckles,I shake my head.

"Hinaeda and Omsai can play,Oma is very responsible!"

Nagito smiles nervously.
I stare at him blankly.

"Do......do you really believe that?"

"No,no I dont."

Nagito quickly replies to my question as he lowers his head.
I look up at the ceiling trying to think of someone...but I couldnt think of anyone.

"Gaah!Im stumped!"

I groan out loud.
Nagito sighs.

"There really isnt anyone but Oma,Hajime."

"Ngh....I-I know..."

I pout like a stubborn child.
Nagito strokes my hair and smiles sweetly.

"Please daa..ad?I wanna play with Om...sai.."

Hinaeda's big eyes grow water'y as he lightly sniffles.
I can feel my heart ache.

This kid is gonna give me a heart attack...

"Fine...we'll ask Oma to babysit later."

I sigh in defeat.
Nagito smiles.
But then he suddenly flinches.
He gently wraps his hand around his neck as he winces slightly in pain.

"Are you okay,Nagito?"

Nagito presses his lips together and nods.
He couldnt even answer me.

"Nagito?"

Nagito pauses for a second then sighs.

"S-Sorry.Im alright.."

His voice was shrill and weak.Way different than it was before.

"Is your throat hurting?"

I ask.Before Nagito could answer,he starts to cough.
