With swiftness more so than a hummingbird, Nakora soared through her mystical home of wonder and imagination. Nothing felt better than the wind blowing through her short curly hair and transparent wings that were twice her size.

She was content.

She was free!

Her joyous moment was short lived, however, when the chimes of the world outside the forest rung. Instantly cautious the fairy looked for the safest place to hide. Nakora saw the home of the wise owl and made a mad dash towards it.  However she was rudely kicked out- quite literally as well. Her wings were definitely not on her side today! The twigs snagged her just in time before Nakora connected painfully to the root covered ground.

However she wasn't on twigs when she opened her eyes.

Everything froze. Even her fragile little heart for a long moment.

No. No. No! This can't be happening!

In vain Nakora tried desperately to kick, tear and bite at the rusted wire net. The artificial leaves made it almost impossible to see the trap. Never the less Nakora continued to fight against the it.

It felt like hours as the sun was beginning to set and she kept attacking the net but to no avail.

Nakora's fragile hands were rubbed raw and were starting to form blisters and bruises.

A faint but  eerie snap of a twig violently shook her into a complete death like sleep. Only she was fully aware. It seemed as if even her heart stayed silent in anticipation for what was to come.

The ground shook when a loud boom echoed throughout her once safe sanctuary.
