You and Jean continued to have small talk as she further questioned you about your home village.

Eventually, Jean gave up on the questioning and just started asking you basic things.

"How are you feeling now?"

You scratched the back of your neck, not sure how to respond.

"I feel better now.."

There was an awkward silence between you and Jean before you spoke up again.

"Thanks.. by the way.."

Jean tilted her head and let out a 'hm?'

"For saving me, I ..uh, probably would've died."

She smiled warmly,

"No need to thank me. It should be Swan and Barbara you're thanking. Swan saw you pass out at the end of the bridge and he quickly alerted the other knights which lead to you ending up being taken care of by Barbara."

You let out a small hum and continued to speak,

"Well, you could've not let me in the town, so I thank you for that."

Jean released a small chuckle.

"This is the city of freedom for a reason, no one would've just let you die on the bridge. I didn't let you in or keep you out."
