 "Emma... Emma... EMMA?!"

 My eyes shot open

"Ugh, what do you want?!" I moaned

"Get up! Your flights in a few hours!" My Dad explained and left my room. Yay, my twenty six hour flight to Australia to see my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins, can't wait! Not. I stumbled out of bed and began slowly walking to the kitchen dragging my feet along the floor as I went. I began pouring myself a bowl of cereal as I sat on the icy cold chair at the table

"Now, are you sure you're okay flying by yourself?!" My Dad asked for the six trillionth time

"Yes Dad, I'll be fine!" I reassured him. Finishing my bowl of cereal and going for a shower I couldn't quite believe I was going to Australia for the first time today, It'd always been a dream of mine ever since I knew about the country, I'd finally be able to cross it off my bucket list, two whole weeks of sun! Despite the travelling I couldn't wait.

I threw on my skinny jeans and a floaty red lace top then slipping on my grey plimsoul converse and applying some mascara. I checked my suitcase for the last time, making sure I had everything, I began zipping it up having to sit on it so it would shut properly and finally I was ready to go! I put my suitcase in the back of the car and my Dad began driving me to Edinburgh airport for my one o'clock flight.

The sun shone, which was unusual and typical, the day I leave the country the sun shines in Scotland. The journey seemed to drag on forever and the traffic wasnt helping either, I just wished we were at the airport already. Finally I saw a sign for Edinburgh Airport and it finally began to sink in that I was going to Australia by myself. I checked in at the front desk and handed over my suitcase to be put on the flight. I had a lovely two hour wait until my flight, my Dad stayed with me the whole time, although in a way I wish he hadn't, he was getting on my nerves "Are you sure you're okay flying alone?" "Have you packed this, have you packed that?" "Phone me when you get there" Okay Dad that's enough now. Eventually I heard my flight being called and I stood up and grabbed my bag

"I'll see you in two weeks then" I began

"Yes, see you then" My Dad replied and hugged me "Now off you go, or you'll miss it!"

I turned and walked away following signs for Gate 18. I reached it! I boarded the plane and sat on a single seat by the window. In twenty six hours I'll be in Australia! I couldn't stop smiling! I plugged in my earphones and zoned out, gazing upon the view out of the window. Just then and air hostess tapped me on the shoulder

"Can I get you anything?" She asked, her face was more orange than.. well an orange.

"No thank you, Im fine" I replied with a smile, the air hostess walked off and I put my music back in. It felt like I had been travelling for hours but I hadnt, it was definitely going to be a lonely journey though. I just wanted to be there already! My excitment was off the charts, Australia is just one of those places I've always wanted to visit. The weather, the accents, the... boys, it just all appeals to me and I cant wait to spend two weeks there!

"Flight 850 now arriving in Australia"

My eyes shot open yet again. I'm here, I'm in Australia! I unplugged my music and grabbed my hand luggage and headed for the door. I smiled at the air hostess as I climbed down the stairs, the warm air hitting my face. I walked inside Melbourne Airport and after being through security went to collect my luggage. I stood waiting for my bags to come through I felt something tug at the bottom of my top, what in the world? A peg?
