Warm beams of sunlight trickle through the thin blinds into the room. The light bouncing off the plants and ivory minimalist decorations around the room.

Oh well, I tried. Taking a deep breathe in and stretching my pale arms and legs. After a few satisfying pops and cracks from the stretch. I open my deep chestnut eyes. I stare at the white popcorn ceiling and gaze at almost nothing. These few seconds of just peace and emptiness is calming and serene.

I reach for my phone on the white nightstand. Turn off the alarm and just like any other 18 year old teen would do, I check my Instagram and socials.

Is this what it's like after someone rejects you? I really can't believe Eric fricken Lee, friend zoned me. For what? We literally work together it's going to be so embarrassing seeing him there. Ahhh how could I be so dumb and tell him I like him ON OUR FIRST OFFICIAL HANG OUT?! Well, there's also the fact that you haven't liked anyone all your life, so you jumped to the chance as soon as had the smallest crush... yeah lol there's that.

Here's a little back story on me. Ophelia Mei Kim.
To start off, I've never had a crush (till recently, which ended pretty quickly), I've never had a my first kiss which leads to these other nevers: relationships, holding hands, first dates, first heartbreak and sex. I'm 18 years old, Korean and Chinese and I'm in my last few months of gap year. If I could describe myself in three words: pure, kind and interesting. And this is my story of how I got my first crush, first kiss, first date and first heartbreak. And yes, this is also a story of how I found myself through it all, cause we love those self-growth characters developments here.
