Malhotra Industries, Manik's Cabin

Manik walked inside his cabin with Aman behind him. Aman was reciting his schedule but Manik was lost in his thoughts.

His mind was messed up and he couldn't hear a word Aman said. His head was blasting due to the pain and Aman's voice did nothing but added more to it.

He stopped him abruptly by showing his hand and took out his laptop before looking up.

Manik: Aman, Leave me alone for sometime. Don't disturb me and if dad ask you about me, tell him I am busy.

Aman: Are you okay boss?

Manik nodded but Aman didn't leave.

Aman: Did you fight with bhabhi?

He asked, hesitate as he knows Manik hates when someone invades his personal space and as expected Manik looked up with a stern expression.

Manik: What I have with my wife is my personal matter. You don't have to know about it. Get back to your work now.

Aman nodded and walked out of his room, sighing at his way of handling things. He knows Manik completely shuts himself off from the person he had a fight with.

While as soon as Aman went, Manik rested his back on the chair. He let out a sigh and pressed his temple to ease the pain but it only increased ten folds more.

There were so many things going around in his mind, and it was difficult to concentrate on one.

He had a fight with his wife. She tried to explain and he didn't let her. Why was it that he knew he was at mistake yet didn't rectify it? Probably, it was due to the guilt.

He was guilty of treating her that way. He had promised her, and their families that he will always take care of her. Hell! He had promised her father that he would never put her on the receiving end of his anger but he ended up doing the same!

Her cries, her tears, her weak figure, she was strong enough to fight yet she didn't push him away and took whatever he threw at her, be it the words or that harsh push!

She respected him even after he disrespected her in the worst way possible. And it only made him feel more guilty.

He let out a loud sigh and looked at his laptop. He tried to concentrate on the work but he couldn't. How could he concentrate on work when she was their at home, hurt by him? No, he couldn't do this!

He stood up abruptly and closed his laptop. He would just go home, take her in his arms, kiss her head and tell her how sorry he was for behaving that way.

He was near the door when his mobile dinged indicating a message. Thinking it to be her, he hurriedly opened it only to be disappointed seeing a caller tune message from company.

What would he do with lovely caller tune when his wife was angry with him. He sighed in anger and pressed the back button. It was then his eyes caught the glimpse of her number in the recent chats.
