The seasons had just began to change, like the people of Blackstone Valley. A simple yet quiet town, that had a sense of mystery.

The  beautiful autumn atmosphere brought a warm feel to this mysterious little town. For the darkness was felt in the negative minds of the town's people. The rains poured heavily as I looked around, the cold misty weather reminded me of the life I had left behind, what are the odds of this. My hands were cold and I got drenched. I could never forget the day I entered this town, it was like a new beginning for me.

On this cold, late October night, as I walked to the bus stop, I was wondering of where life takes me; pulling my hoodie over my head, I watched the winds ripped through the trees and it felt as though there was going to be a storm.

The bus seemed to be late and I was getting impatient, while I stood waiting. I felt like I was drowning, I was alone and confused.

I was hoping for a new beginning, I imagine what my life would be like in this new town, somehow it holds a new chapter for me. Finally the bus arrived I took a deep breath and stepped on the bus which was late. In the bus the, people were staring at me in an awkward manner but I ignored them.

Walking down the center of the bus I sat in the fourth row, while the other passengers looked at me. A new face in a town which seems like the perfect target. Listening to the music, as it pounds in my ear, I fell into a deep sleep and my mind was lost into the dreams under my eyelids.

I felt the motion of the bus slowing down, the bus had stopped and I was awaken by a loud thud on the glass window of the bus, which bought me back to reality. It was some college kids messing around, laughing and knocking up the windows of the bus to scare everyone. Honestly I felt like they were being jerks. I removed my earbuds and handed the bus driver my ticket and stepped off.

I was finally here, the street seems full of life as I watch kids play and the towns people all seemed friendly. Walking to my apartment building, I noticed a poster of a  missing girl. It was pinned on the wall of the buildings. I thought to myself, I hope she was  found. I realized,  I was standing in front of my new home, when I took a deep breath and walked in.

There I met with a woman, she spoke softly as she twisted her fingers  through her blonde brown hair. I noticed she had a tattoo on her right arm . She gave me a pair of keys and she spoke softly but it didn’t seem suspicious to me. She then took me up the old wooden stairs and showed me to the vacant room.

This was my new life, a room full of spider webs and dust. Splendid, was the perfect word to describe this room for I was so unaware of what I was about to encounter.

It's been two weeks, since I have arrived and the autumn atmosphere was growing on me. Looking at the kids running around, all excited for Halloween, made me feel like a child again. The town seemed quiet and it was known for its genuine coffee.

This local Blackstone Diner, helped me paid for my rent and college tuition, it had become apart of my life. It’s not the most sophisticated place to eat but it had many things that brought comfort to the locals here after a long hard day. I made alot of new friends here like Sheriff  Bludworth.

He  is a regular customer that comes in for breakfast every morning. The smell of bacon and eggs just happens to lift his spirits as he sips on a hot cup of black coffee staring at the local news channel.

It was always a pleasure to hear his voice as he talks about catching thieves and bad guys that run around Blackstone and he always warned me to be careful. My apartment is located lower down the road so I’d just walk home after serving up the last order of the dinner rush. It was always something I enjoyed.
