My alarm clock blared in my ear. I swung my arm around to turn it off and knocked it to the ground.
My head was buzzing like crazy.
As usual, I didn't have time to wake myself up before Penelope barged into my room complaining about my room, my hair, my clothes and just the fact that I wasn't ready for school yet.
If there was a record for most disturbed foster parent Penelope would would win.
I slipped on some jeans and a t-shirt, and my grey hoodie. Yawning between minutes, I brushed my teeth.
Tossing my hair into the knotty bun it would stay in all day, I began my boring morning routine.
I took one last look in the mirror and headed down stairs.
I guess my steps were loud, because on my way down Penelope started to throw comments.
Penelope giggled as she told me my breakfast was gone, "Should have been up earlier!" She sang.
But I knew better, she never even made my breakfast....she never has.
I rolled my eyes and walked out the door.
Every now and then a foster kid gets placed with a family who's only interested in the monthly check. Well, I'm one of those cases. And that's Penelope.
She's too obvious of a gold digger to date a rich guy, and too ugly for one to come near her anyway.
She is pretty, but the smoking and hateful personality makes her unappealing to the male eye...or any eye really.
School isn't too far from the house, about a mile, so I walk.
I dont mind it really, plus whats my other choice? Penelope won't drive me, though I'm not sure why she's so against it.
My walk to school
is normally quiet, and I'm usually alone since its so early...so hearing the "Hey!" shouted from behind me sent a shiver up my spine.
