The sunlight peeked through the blinds as the birds softly chirped outside the window. Today was supposed to be life-changing for Yoongi; he would finally be able to start his music career and work on his craft that he was born to do.  It would have been more exciting if his parents hadn't packed all his things for him and set them by the front door.

There was no doubt that they were very unsupported of his decision to become a musician, but it wasn't going to stop him from making his dreams come true. His college was far out in the city, far from his hometown Daegu. Hopefully, this would be a chance for his parents to reflect and understand his decision and his passion for music.

Yoongi sat up and slid on some sweatpants and a baggy hoodie. He put on his beanie before putting in his headphones to shut out the rest of the world. Yoongi didn't have any intentions of making friends. He solely wanted to focus on his music; his hopes for the future were to finish college and make it big one day.

"In my dreams," he mumbled to himself. He grabbed his bag and headed for the door, taking one last glimpse around his childhood home. His parents hadn't bothered to say goodbye to him, so off he went to start a new chapter in his life.

"College shouldn't be that bad...I hope" Yoongi walked to the bus stop and plopped his bag down on the ground next to him. He leaned against the sign swiping through his phone, occasionally switching through the songs.

As the bus approached the stop, Yoongi grabbed his bag and clutched it onto the strap. The doors swung open, blowing the warm air back into Yoongi's face. He stepped on, feeling the sticky floors stick to his shoes; he usually sat at the back of the bus, but this time he had no choice but to sit in the middle.

There were many more people on the bus that day than usual, maybe people worked, or they were all going to the same place he was. The thought of college didn't scare Yoongi, but it sure as hell made him nervous. He barely spoke to his friends, let alone attempt to make friends in a brand new atmosphere. Yoongi's eyes widened as he thought about talking to people; his sad, introverted brain was getting in the way of living 'everyday life.

This man was better off closing his cat-like eyes and dream about his long-awaited adventure in the dangerous adult world.

As the bus made an abrupt stop, Yoongi ended up hitting his dome on the window, instantly waking him up. He groggily grabbed his bag and stumbled off the bus checking his surroundings in the process. The campus was littered with chatty Freshmen and beefy Jocks trying to get girls' attention.

College was almost a high school for young adults, except for adding sex, drugs, and illegal activities. This was just another obstacle in Yoongi's sad, exhausting life. He sighed before attempting to find the dorms; as he walked, he couldn't help but notice the many different people that passed by.

Everyone had their form of self-expression, and it somewhat intimidated Yoongi. What if he was the average edgy kid who constantly looked like he wanted to die every 2 seconds? Yeah, he was definitely not settling for that.

Yoongi approached the dorms and couldn't help but notice a small ally way in between the buildings. There, he saw a tall blue-haired kid coughing up his lungs as he attempted to inhale the smoke of a vape pen. He furrowed his eyebrows before making his way inside, trying to forget what he had just witnessed.

To prevent any confusion, Yoongi pre-planned everything so he would have to struggle less on his official first day. He knew exactly where to go and certainly did not need the help of others..cause that's for losers...

The chattering got quieter as Yoongi approached his small, confined room. It was pretty empty, which meant that his roommate hadn't shown up yet. Although it would be nice to have one, we all know Yoongi wanted to be left alone with nothing but himself and his thoughts. Holy shit, this man was lonely.

There was a knock on the door as the same blue-haired kid he saw before stood in the doorway. Seeing him up close let Yoongi better look at him, he wore all black, and his eyeliner was layered THICK. This man was almost like a human version of a raccoon or almost like Rodrick from Diary of a Wimpy Kid (I'm so sorry).

"Hey....small boy...I'm Taehyung, and I'm going to be your neighbor. If you need anything, don't knock on my door." he flashed a boxy smile as he awkwardly left the room. The sound of Tae's thick chunky boots could be heard down the hallway as Yoongi just stood there looking dumbfounded.

"Please, God, don't curse me with a creep as a roommate," Yoongi thought as he clasped his hands together and held them in front of his face. He looked down at his bag and decided it was best if he started unpacking the tiny things he packed.

One thing he was never really that great at was decorating. Yoongi had no intention of making his side of the room "pretty" or anything of that sort. He made everything comfortable and tidy just for him. The thought of laying down and doing absolutely nothing for several hours was like ecstasy to Yoongi, and sure enough, he was going to turn that fantasy into reality.

He threw himself on the bed and turned onto his side, scrolling through social media. You know this is the part where people are supposed to socialize and make friends, but of course, sad tiny Yoongi does not want to partake in that activity.

There was giggling echoing through the empty hallways seeming to get louder as it approached Yoongi's quiet sanctuary. He frowned as he looked towards the door to see a fairly tall man, his tanned skin matched perfectly with his brown eyes. The dimples that showed on his face as he displayed his heart-shaped smile made Yoongi want to act up. Why did he want to act up? Oh shit.

"Hi, I'm Jung Hoseok. I'm your roommate, but call me Hobi" he smiled, holding his hand out. It felt like the sun entered his room, practically blinding Yoongi with his energy along with that damn smile. Yoongi suddenly found himself stiff, was he upset that he has a roommate? Or was he relieved that it was someone like Hobi?

If he didn't feel intimidated before, he sure as hell felt threatened now.

(AHHHHH, thank you for reading the first chapter. Sorry if it's so short, but I've been so busy, and writers' block is a real thing 😔✊🏼 . I hope you enjoyed it 🥺 don't hesitate to leave feedback )
