A world trapped in a dream.

Years ago, a great plague ravaged the Jurane and every planet was advised to provide one great-minded scientist to join the committee of people that would come together in search of a solution to the commonly shared issue. Despite all the funds put in and all the research each of them was tasked with, each trial came out as a failed attempt and each theory was passed off as they all came out with errors. Slowly and steadily, whole planets were being brought to dust within minutes and for those with strong energy cores, the grace of days and a very few were gone within months. Even the strongest fell to the great plague and time was being eaten up faster than it was being utilized.

Planets' energy cores were being crippled and becoming too disabled to balance and remain in orbit with their solar system. This resulted in high scale natural disasters skyrocketing in occurrence, natural gases erupting in unusual places and killing millions, nuclear atomic energy spiking in cold regions and setting off in water bodies and eventually, the planets killed off its people then fell out of orbit and died.

The plague could not be explained by science despite all attempts to do so but one day, the plague hit Nigale; a dwarf planet in comparison to those in its planetary orbit and a minority planet in the eyes of those who knew of its existence. No one paid notice to it as it began showing signs similar to the other planets that had been struck down. No one cared for it and slowly all the crops died, cyclones began swallowing up whole buildings and the planet sank deeper into disarray.

Then a month passed and people were forced to give them attention for the first time in history. They had become the first planet in their planetary orbit to last over a month and this brought about the asking of questions, along with which came theories. Scientists and theologians set off to find out how the planet had remained standing as opposed to all the others that had been struck by the plague, tests were run, observations were made, deep research was conducted but yet again, the results returned the same as all those before.

The attacks lacked a form of succession of pattern and as far the eyes could see and the math could tell, the plague remained unexplained and unexplainable.

Finally, a man by the name Sekani Therwien Braham, a geographical scientist by profession a father of a set of twins by choice, came forward with a means of saving the planet he had called home ever since he was cast out of his planet of origin for his extensive research on a prohibited element and breaking a law that had been put in place for his people's protection. But no matter how he tried to make a stand on his discovery and make the other scientists see the reason in his theories, no one believed him and he was cast out once again for the same reason, and forced to go underground with his ideas.

Six months passed and still, Nigale carried on as the one and only planet that prevailed against the plague through survival for so long. Many scientists had given up on science with hopes of spending their last days with those they loved, but those that hadn't, continued to get discouraged as each day passed.

With only seven planets left, the plague was ruled as a pandemic too great for civilization to endure and governments were cast aside, federal capitals disregarded, national unions were broken apart, giving a louder voice to the people with ideas, theories, and ways to save themselves from their inevitable doom.

Sekani was placed on a podium for all to see and his voice broadcasted for all to hear as he came forward with what eventually saved the dwarf planet that had been an outcast for decades. On the day statistics showed the planet's energy core shutting down, he reached a breakthrough in his research, put his second daughter in a cryo pod and rescued the planet that had called him their own when his blood relations could not.

At the age of 36 years, Sekani became the first recognized Dream scientist who enclosed the largest dwarf planet in the Jurane in the dream of a young girl, filled with wonder, sick with terminal cancer, and cursed to float in the beyond of space until her father could find a cure to the plague and free Nigale from his daughter's mind.
