When I arrived, I wasted no time running out as deep as I could into the crystal blue water. The sun was starting to beat down, as it was around noon, and I was burning from my run.

The minute I was fully submerged, my body started to tingle. I was starting to feel my legs fuse together and I looked down to see a sparkling black tail that was about six feet long, and I had black scales on my chest making something that looked like a sports bra.

I was so busy admiring my tail that I didn’t notice I had started to sink until my lungs screamed for air. I flicked my tail a few times to get to the surface, and was surprised to see that the sun was gone, and the full moon had taken its place.

I could hold my breath for that long?

I looked around at the black water. This is definitely when I would gather food. The darkness of the water made me look practically invisible.

Howls from the beach caught my attention, and I saw four beasts that resembled characters from Teen Wolf. I guess special effect makeup had been taken into consideration when the species board designed the features of the werewolves. Their faces were contorted, teeth elongated, and ears pointed. Not to mention the hair that covered them on the visible skin they had, as they had kept their clothes on. The one in front started to howl, and soon the others joined in.

Before I could blink, about twenty other wolves walked out onto the beach, all slightly behind the one that was first to howl. They all started to wade into the water, looking like they were ready to attack.

I started to smirk, without knowing why.

A song burst from my throat, and they all froze, eyes going wide. They turned in circles, before throwing themselves deep into the water, not coming up for air.

After singing for a good five minutes, my voice gave out, and I gathered all the bodies of the drowned werewolves. Pulling them all to shore, I left them there, knowing that someone would find them eventually. As soon as word got out that a mermaid transformation was successful, there would be an influx of them.

It wasn’t until I started to swim farther out, that I realized what I had done. I had just killed those boys, and I didn’t even bat an eyelash.

What was happening to me?

I just swam farther out, trying to forget everything.
