“Dean, wake up. I think I got something,” Sam said throwing at shoe at his sleeping brother, trying to wake him up. Dean mumbled a few indescribable words before Sam threw another shoe at him.

“Alright dude. Enough with the shoes,” croaked Dean, sleep still present in his voice. “What did find out?”

“Okay, so you know how none of the girls had anything in common? Well apparently they do. They’re all virgins.”

“And how’d you figure that out?” Dean wiggled his eyebrows, emerging from his bed. He trudged over to the mini fridge in the corner of the room, pulled out a beer, opened it and took a swig.

“Isn’t it a little early for that?”

“Hey, it’s six o’clock somewhere,” winked Dean. “Anyways, when I went to interview the families, I checked out their rooms too, ya know the routine.  And what did I find in all of them? Abstinence rings. Must of thought they weren’t going to be virgins for much longer,” explained Sam.

“So vampires?”

“That’s what I was thinking.”

“And that means suits doesn’t it?”

“Ding ding ding we have a winner,” Sam joked.

The boys suit up and head over to the state hospital to look at the victim’s medical files, Dean trying to play his music, Sam turning it down. Killjoy.  They arrive at the building and enter its gray, monotone walls and getting smacked in the face with that sterile, rubbing alcohol smell that all hospitals have.

“I hate hospitals. They give me the creeps,” Dean whispered to his brother before approaching the front desk. The lady sat there had bright blue eyes, bleach blonde hair, pink lip gloss, and was chewing a piece of gum so loud the whole emergency room could hear it.

“How can I help you boys?” she said eyeing them up.

“We’re special agents Gabriel and Collins, and we need to speak to Dr. Jeremy McGowan.” Sam said holding up his I.D. badge. Dean pulled his out of his jacket and tried to open it but dropped it to the ground instead. He smiled nervously and picked it up, eventually showing her.

“Um… right down the hall and to the left,” she said sounding a bit concerned for Dean. Sam thanked the lady and swiftly began down the hall.

“Yeah, thanks um… Cindy,” Dean forced out, looking at her nametag and winking awkwardly. “It’s Linda.” Dean decided that was enough awkward conversation and followed his brother down the hall. The boys followed Lindy’s instructions and arrived at the door marked with the doctor’s name. Sammy knocked on the door a few times without an answer before opening it.

There was a short, tubby man face down on his desk. Sam walked over and shook his shoulder gently. “Dr. McGowan?”

The man shot up from his desk, papers stuck to his face, eyes wide with fear. His small hands shuffled around the mess of papers and reached a pair of glasses. He hastily put them on and his eyes returned to normal.

“Yes?” his voice cracked. “No wait. Don’t tell me.” The doctor insisted holding up his hand and closing his eyes. “You two are from the… F.B.I.?” whispered the doctor, looking strained.

“How did you-“Sam began.

“Are you psychic?” Dean interjected.

The doctor laughed softly. “No, your badges were the first thing I saw when you woke me. Just a little joke I like to make sometimes.” The small man started reorganizing his messy desk. “I can also tell that you two travel a lot, seeing as your socks don’t match,” He concluded looking to Dean, “Probably lost one on the road and thought that nobody was going to notice if you paired a now single navy blue one with a black one. Also, you two have known each other for quite some time now. No business partners stand that close to each other. Common sense.” Dr. McGowan deduced ever-so nonchalantly, never looking up from his desk.

“Woah dude look.” Said Dean excitedly. He lifted his pant leg to show Sammy his socks.

“Now, what can I do you for?” the doctor asked, snapping Sam and Dean from their wonder-filled confusion.

“We’re working on the case of the three missing girls. Do you happen to have the medical files for Amanda Boing, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Libba Stanley?” Dean explained.

“Well if you need those ones, you’re going to have to follow me.“

The doctor emerged from behind his desk and waddled past the two giants to the door. It was a seldom walk down what seemed like a hundred endless halls. The trio stopped at a door that looked like every other they had passed. Dr. McGowan pulled a huge ring of keys from his pocket and fumbled with it before selecting one and unlocking the door. This room, ‘The Filing Cabinet’, as the hospital staff had dubbed it, had other smaller filing cabinets lining the walls to the ceiling. “This is where the magic happens boys.” The little man boasted. He strutted up to one of the cabinets, as if he were about to break out in song. His stubby fingers delicately flew over each file tab until they landed on a Miss Amanda, Boing. For a small hospital in the middle of nowhere, damn did they have a lot of patients. He paraded around the room gathering the other two case files. The doctor handed them off with a wink. Sam and Dean plopped themselves down at the large metal table in the center of the room, and began reading.

After a few moments of silence, the boys trying to piece together what they had just read, Sam spoke up, “It says that all of them went to the emergency room feeling faint, feverish, and extreme hunger. They sound like symptoms of getting bit, but vampires don’t usually pull a hit and run. Why didn’t they take the vics with them?”

“Sounds kind of like a one night stand vamp to me. Or maybe a rouge vamp?” Dean stated sounding more like a question. “Now, shall we go give these back to Dr. Happypants and get the hell out of here?”

“We shall.” Sammy answered.
