“Oh, I was finding a guard for you.” She said as her eyes were never leaving the monitor of the computer. “Why would I need one? I have always been alone in London.” My voice was not low anymore. I have always feared my grandma. I knew what power she held, but this is outrageous.

I’m no troubled teen or anything, she doesn’t need to hire a nanny to take care of me! A scoff leaves her throat and God how much I wanted to rip it off, I can never describe. “What made you think you were alone in London?”

A mischievous smile crept on her face. Fuck I hate her. “You have always been under my watch. From your favourite anime character to the guy, you’ve hooked up with. I know everything.”

I scoffed hearing that. “Well, it might suck to know, but I’m virgin.” I joked. “Ishida Harper, a Japanese American guy, same age as you, masculine with blond hair and grey eyes, you both hooked up a couple of times.”

My mouth hung open. Although I was not someone who can fall in love easily. Ishida was totally my type. Tall, but with a bit of feminine features. Looks subby but like a bunny in heat. The only guy I simped for in London.

We hooked thrice until I felt that he was totally off limits for someone like me and I decided to let him go. Damn, how the hell this bitch got to know about all that? Who snitched on me?

She chuckled as her eyes fell on my shocked face. “Granny knows everything dear.” She smiled. Soon she shuts her computer and signals me to sit. I insisted to stand but her eyes told me. If you don’t obey me, you’re good as dead.

I slipped on the seat opposite to her. “I was thinking of handing over this business to you.” She starts as her eyes met mine. “I know I caused a lot of discomfort in your life but believe me, I never your father was such a guy.” The veins in my neck popped out and the air tensed in between us. “Jin-Young is fine.” I muttered.

She sighed, “Yeah, Jin- Young. He can never be suited to called someone’s father.” I saw a flash of guilt in her eyes be fore she closed them. It was just a second and it felt like the world to me. I felt something I don’t think I ever saw on her face. Even when grandpa died, she didn’t cry.

“Jin, I knew he was spoiled I spoiled him. I know but I thought he will change after he married Eunji. She was perfect, you mother.” She glanced at me who was busy playing with the paper weight. She chuckled. “He did change when you were born, I saw how happy he looked when the doctors told him that you looked just like his female version. You got his eyes and nose and also your mother’s smile. He was so happy.”

Her voice felt light. And suddenly she started coughing badly, my instinct told me to give her water, but a voice in me told me let it be like that. Let her die. Before I could decide whom to listen, the door opened with a loud bang.

“Sorry, I was a bit too excited.” A guy dressed in a white shirt along with a black tux stood there. I snapped and gave grandma some water and patted her back to calm her down. The guy ran out from there and came back with another guy.

“He’s a doctor.” He said with a face I can never describe. He was way more worried than I can ever be for someone whom I never knew.

An hour later she calmed down and was napping. “What happened to her?? I frankly asked the blond-haired guy. He looked hot, but at that moment I was not supposed to compliment anyone for their looks. “She just stressed.” He says as his eyes fell on the other guy.

I followed his gaze and found the tux guy. The one who felt more about someone whom he never knew. Someone who can gets anxious about some random stranger. “Stupid!” I uttered under my breathe.

“Is she okay Hyung?” He spoke first, and damn his Korean accent is hot. Totally seductive. Deep like ocean. “Yeah, she is both physically and emotionally stressed.”

‘Physically and emotionally stress’ she totally deserves that. Why the hell she gotta be worried about someone who, who doesn’t even care for her. I don’t even love her a bit. Yes, it was true I panicked a bit when she was coughing and acting all sick, but I think I should a bit worried about someone who at least paid my fees.

Yeah, only that much!

“Um thanks for your help, both of you.” I thanked them and sat next to her. Both of them left the room a few seconds ago. “I told you to stop caring for me.” I murmured.
With that I left the room leaving an aged woman smiling alone.
-----------------------------------------------------
‘Stupid’ her voice was still stuck in my head until Hyun snapped his fingers on my face. “What?” I gave him a weird look, making him roll his eyes one me. “Your drink.” He flipped a can of soda which I obviously catch.

“That girl was judging you.” He says and a smug looks crept on my face. “Who?” I asked as if any female could ever do that to me. “That tall one, from the chairwoman’s office.”

The certain image of her calling me stupid that I thought I was able to delete, restored once again. I do agree that she looked pretty, but her calling me stupid, really didn’t helped the situation.

“Why would she call me stupid? I literally helped her in an informal way.” I sulked and a pout formed in my face. “I don’t know. Maybe she didn’t want her to live.” He says in an uninterested tone. Of course, he’s like that. Even though he’s a cardiologist he just like any ajhussi. Totally boring.

“Whatever I just don’t wanna cross paths with her ever again.” I got up and threw the empty can in the nearest dustbin.

The day was not worth because I was not able to do the interview. But I was happy, at least I got to save someone. A smile crept on my face. I just love been like this.

He did wished to never cross paths with you, but who knows what the future holds?
