"Hey doll," Bucky said as he walked into the kitchen, wrapping his arm around my waist and spinning me around to look at him.

"Morning," I chuckled.

Bringing my arms up around his neck, I planted a kiss on his soft rosy lips. It was a kiss filled with pure love, love for the life we have on our farm, away from fighting and battles and all the superhero bullshit we had spent years doing.

"Ew, gross!" our oldest boy, Steve shouts.

Our three other kids come tumbling in behind him.

We look at each other, a mutual understanding that the chaos has ensued.

Our daughter climbing on Buckys metal arm says, "Daddy can we have pancakes?" giving him puppy dog eyes, I wonder where she learned that...

"Of course, my angel," He smiled picking her up and putting her on the counter top.

Since Aurora is our only girl, I could tell Bucky always favoured her, at least on some level. He knew she was younger than the boys and couldn't quite keep up with them, not yet at least.

I smile at the sight of Bucky and Aurora covered in flour, laughing at how ridiculous they looked.

"Mommy's gonna kill us!" Bucky laughs.

"Damn right she is!" I say back, going and tickling Aurora but only ending up covered in flour too.

Bucky goes and grabs a white towel from under the sink and gently wipes the flour from Rories face and hands.

"Tate, is the baby still sleeping?" I shout through to the adjoined living room.

"No, I don't think so," He shouts back.

I look to Bucky with pleading eyes and he playfully sighs, "I'll go get him,".

"Thank you," I smile and place a kiss on his nose, "I'll finish the pancakes so you two don't burn the house down," I laugh poking at Auroras stomach and picking her up and taking her off the counter so she can run through to sit with her brothers.

My heart melts at the sight of big, burly Bucky carrying our tiny, precious son. He adores him so much, just as he does the other kids. They are his world. We are his world. He couldn't have asked for a better life, he was right where he needed to be, where he always wanted to be.

I break from oogling at Bucky and plate up the pancakes and shout through, "Steve, Tate, Carter, Rorie, pancakes are ready!".

Bucky laughs as the kids come charging through, fighting for the seat at the top of the table.

"It's like feeding time at the zoo!" He says, earning a laugh from everyone.

We sit next them stealing a couple bites and drinking warm coffee, laughing and joking until the kids are finished.

"Thank you mommy!" The kids sounded as they scrambled to go do they're chores around the farm.

Bucky picked up a couple plates and I the other two and placed them in the sink as I filled it up with warm water and bubbly soap, I looked up to see him standing over me, eyes glistening with affection as he said,

"I adore you, doll,".
