It was the last week of summer break before school was to resume. You wanted to make the most of it with your best friend Yuri by spending it on the lake, soaking up every last bit of sun. "It's perfect weather today, isn't it?" Yuri asked as you nodded your head in response. It had been four years since you came to live in this small town. After your parents died in an accident, you had nowhere else to go. Your aunt, who lives in this town, decided to take you in to live with her, and you felt nothing but grateful for her kindness. The two of you got along well, almost as if she was your actual mother. However, her work in the city keeps you from seeing each other often. But you didn't mind one bit since you liked the peace and quiet, it fills you with a sense of tranquility.

"Can you believe it's out last year of high school?" Yuri asked. "I just can't wait for it to be over and done with so I don't have to see any of those jerks at school ever again" you responded. As if moving and transitioning into a new school wasn't already hard enough, you knew absolutely nobody, whereas most if not all the kids at school probably knew each other since kindergarten. You remembered your first day of high school to be something close to awkward and humiliating. Most of the kids just stared and whispered at the new kid in town. Not one of them bothering to approach you or even give you so much as a hello. If you hadn't meet Yuri, your high school life would have been considered as something closer to a living hell.

And here I thought kids who grew up in the city were bad. I guess it doesn't matter where you go, you're bound to come across awful people. You were silently reminiscing about the past when your heard the sound of footsteps getting closer. "Ugh, and here I thought I wouldn't have to see you two ugly bitches before the first day of school." Both you and Yuri turned your head towards the direction of the most irritating sound to ever exist on planet Earth. The voice belonged to none other than Jia, one of the meanest and bitchest girl at school. You can see her two other friends,or rather followers, behind her as well. Isn't there a sign somewhere that says no fugly hoes allowed?" Jia continues her taunts. "Yea, there should be one shouldn't there? Because I'm looking at one right now" you countered, earning a small laugh from Yuri.

"What did you just say to me?" Jia challenged. You stood up with your arms folded across your chest. "It's a big lake, why don't you go find some other spot and go jump in it rather than ruin our day with your presence." If there's one thing Jia didn't like, it's when someone talks down to her instead of worshipping her like the queen she believes herself to be. Her vanity knows no bounds. Coupled with her terrible personality only makes you and Yuri hate her even more. "You bitch, I'll teach you what happens when you disrespect me." Jia starts approaching you, ready to slap you across the face when Yuri stands up next to you. "Try it, and I'll break your arm." Jia was mostly all talk, never taking the approach when the odds where against her. Seeing as how her two friends were just standing behind her and doing nothing, Jia decided that the best thing to do was to leave. And so she did, with a huff and a "whatever" as her two friends followed behind her.

Seeing as how Jia already ruined the mood for you and Yuri, the both of you decided that it was better to head home. The sun was starting to set behind the mountains and you both wanted to make it home before it got too dark. You said your goodbyes and started taking the long path home towards your cabin. You lived a bit more secluded from the rest of the other people in town. As you started the walk towards your home, you heard fast footsteps coming up behind you and turned around. "Just because I let you go back there doesn't mean I'm done with you." I knew she wouldn't let this go. Jia and her friends were now standing in front of you, with the most evil grin on their faces.

Meanwhile, at that very moment, a pact of wolves we're running through the forest excitedly towards their destination. I can't wait for us to see our new home! Yugyeom, the youngest of the pack exclaimed. Slow down there, pup! We'll be there before you know it. Youngjae chuckled. Jay B, the alpha of the group noticed that one of his members was starting to lag behind. Everyone, stop! The rest of the pack immediately did as they were told. What's wrong, Mark? Everyone turned to Mark and watched as he kept walking in circles and sniffing the air around him. I'm not sure, but I think I'm picking up something. The rest of the wolves sniff the air too, but they don't seem to smell anything in particular. I'm not picking up anything. Jackson confirmed. Us too. Jinyoung and Bambam followed. If it's nothing then we should really get going. The alpha started to turn and continue leading his pack. All of a sudden, a strong fragrance hit Mark's nose. There! He made a mad dash in the opposite direction, leaving the other members of his pack behind. Where does he think he's going? Jackson asked. Let's follow after him and make sure he's okay. The alpha commanded, as everyone else started to follow after Mark.

Mark was running through the forest as fast as his he could towards an alluring smell that seems to captivate him. The closer he got towards the scent, the faster his heart pounded. He forced himself to stop at the edge of the forest as his nose picked up three more different scent. He quietly walked towards the direction and notices four figures. Carefully, he hid himself behind some bushes. Three girls surrounding one other girl in the middle, who didn't looked fazed at all given her situation. "I'm gonna ask you one more time. Get on your hands and knees and beg for forgiveness. If you do I might consider leaving you alone" Jia sneered. "I'd rather get eaten by a wolf" Aria scoffed. Mark, who was only a few feet away watched the interaction. His attention was focused mainly on the girl in the middle. Something about her was making him drawn to her like a moth towards a flame. That's when it hit him, the strong fragrance that he was chasing earlier was coming from her. It smelled exactly like raspberries, and Mark was finding it harder to resist coming closer to her.

"You think playing tough will get you out of this situation? Well, think again!" Jia threatened as she started her advance. Suddenly, a growl could be heard coming from the forest. It sounded menacing enough that all four girls stopped and gasped. They turned their heads towards the direction of the sound, only to see a very large wolf slowly emerging from the bushes as it advanced towards them. "Oh, fuck!" Jia shouted as her body started to tremble from fear as did the rest of the girls. "L-l-let's get out of here!" One of her friends shouted as the three girls started sprinting away, leaving Aria alone with the wolf. She couldn't move her legs and run away as her fear kept her in place. So this is how I die. How ironic that my last words were that I'd rather be eaten by a wolf than face a few slaps from Jia and her minions. Aria couldn't do anything except silently pray that the large wolf would go away and leave her alone. But her prayers weren't answered as the wolf slowly started to come closer to her. Holy shit! Aria flinched and closed her eyes waiting to feel teeth or claw sinking into her skin, but felt nothing of the sort. What she felt instead was something soft nuzzling her neck.

Mark was putting his head on the girl's neck, hoping to get a better whiff of the intoxicating scent that was filling his nose. God, she smells so good. I can't break free from her. Mark began to let out a purr from his throat, enjoying every moment he could before hearing a gasp which pulled him back to reality. That was when he noticed that the girl he was fawning over was still trembling from fear. "Please, don't hurt me" the girl begged. He finally noticed that he was scaring the life out of her as he slowly backed away, whimpering as he disappeared into the forest. Aria stood there for a good five seconds before coming to her senses and sprinting away, as fast as she could towards her home. Mark watched her run away as he was hidden behind some bushes. A moment later his ears perked up, recognizing that the sound was coming from his pack. What happened to you, man? Why did you take off like that? Jackson asked as he saw Mark. The rest of the pack was now surrounding him, waiting for him to say something. Mark, what is it? What's gotten into you? Jay B asked. All eyes were on Mark as they waited for him to speak. Guys, I think I just found my mate.
