It was Monday as the start of the school week resumed again. First and second period went by rather quickly as the bell rang, indicating that it was time for a break. "I'll be back in a bit, the teacher asked me to go drop off some documents to the office." Yuri informed as she got up from her chair, leaving you and the boys to mingle among yourselves. "Wait up! I'm coming with. I gotta stop by the bathroom." The two of you waved to the boys as you left. "Mark, when are you gonna tell her about the whole mate thing?" Jackson asked with a serious expression on his face. "When the time is right. I don't want to intentionally freak her out. I'm taking things one step at a time." Youngjae chimed into the conversation. "But what if she freaks out anyways after you tell her? Besides, humans consider our existence to be nothing but the stuff of legends." Mark didn't want to admit it, but the thought did cross his mind. "I know that, but I'm hoping she'll have an open mind when I do tell her." As the boys were engrossed into their conversation, a group of girls from class who stayed behind started to approach them.

"So you guys are the new transfer students, huh? How are you fitting into our school? If you want, we can all hang out later after class." The girl, who seems to be the leader of the group, extended the invitation as she was giving the boys winks. "That's nice of you to offer, but no thanks" Jay B politely declined their offer. "Aww c'mon. We're just trying to be friendly. Wouldn't you rather have a lot of friends beside hanging with those two weirdos all the time?" One of the girls from the group asked. "What do you mean weirdos?" Jackson eyed them. "You mean you haven't heard what people are saying about those two around school? Well, I heard that Aria is engaged in some sort of witchcraft or voodoo stuff. She grows herbs and uses them for making potions." As the girls went on, the boys were getting visibly agitated with their remakes. "And I heard that Yuri's the one who also helps her conduct her rituals. Why else do you think she lives all alone in the woods? It's so no one can see what she's doing out there." The group of girls were getting a kick out of talking about the two of you behind your backs. "And you actually believe that bullshit that you're sprouting?" Mark turned to the group of girls with an angry scowl on his face, causing them to flinch. "You don't know shit about them, yet you easily believe some made up rumors about them without question. Makes you wonder who's really the stupid ones around here." The girls were at a loss for words and were stunned speechless by Mark's harsh words.

Meanwhile, you were on your way back from the bathroom. Before you could enter the classroom, a certain conversation caught your attention as you hid and eavesdropped on what was going on. "And I heard that Yuri's the one who also helps her conduct her rituals. Why else do you think she lives all alone in the woods? It's so no one can see what she's doing out there." You could hear the mocking tone in the girls voices as they talked about you. Before you could leave to avoid escalating the situation, you heard Mark's angry voice defending you. "And you actually believe that bullshit that you're sprouting? You don't know shit about them, yet you easily believe some made up rumors about them without question. Makes you wonder who's really the stupid ones around here." A smile came on your face after hearing Mark's words. You decided to jump into the conversation as you stopped at the doorway of the classroom. "Well, isn't this rather obvious. You just couldn't wait to talk shit about me in front of the new students, could you? I must admit, I'm a bit surprised you waited so long. I bet you were probably just itching to tell them on the first day of school, weren't you? What? Afraid I'll curse you or something if I caught you talkin' shit behind my back?" The boys and girls were left stunned by your sudden rant. "Nothing else to say about me? Yea. I didn't think so." You rolled your eyes and stormed off. Jinyoung was the first one to break the silence afterwards. "She's a better person than you think. And that goes for Yuri as well." The rest of the boys got up to go after you. "Besides, we would much rather hang out with them than with the likes of girls like you" Yugyeom stated as he passed them by, leaving them silent and humiliated.

As soon as they exited the class, the boys ran into Yuri down the hall. "Yuri!" Mark ran up to her and grabbed her shoulders. "Whoa! Mark! What's going on? Why are you all in a rush? Did something happen?" she asked. "Where is Aria? Some girls from class were talking smack about you two and she stormed off somewhere." Yuri gave them a knowing look. "Ahh. They're up to their nonsense again. Come with me. I'll show you where she likes to go when she wants to be alone." Yuri led the boys up a flight of stairs that led to the rooftop. As soon as you all arrived, everyone took a look around but couldn't see you anywhere. "I don't see her. Maybe she's not here?" Mark asked with a worried look. "No, she's here." Everyone turned to Yuri with confused looks on their face. She simply turned around and faced towards the door leading back downstairs, as she shouted up at the unit from where everyone entered. "Hey, Aria! Come down here!" You poked your head out of your hiding place from above everyone, startling the boys. "Whaaat? Can't you see I'm brooding?" you whined, giving her an annoyed look. "Come down here, the boys are worried about you" Yuri demanded. "Fine" you said while sulking. After you came down from your hiding place, you faced the boys and waited for them to speak first.

"Aria, I hope you're not upset with what was being said back there. We just want you to know that we're on your side" Jay B assured you. "Yea! And of course we didn't believe those ridiculous things those girls said about you" Youngjae added. The boys nodded their heads in agreement. You give a small sigh. "I'm not bothered by what they said to you. It's just something I'm used to hearing around here. It just aggravates me how they can just start rumors about someone they never tried to get to know." You kicked the air as your gaze shifted to your foot. "Well, you don't need those guys" Bambam spoke up. "Yea, you got us now" Jackson said as he gave you a smile. You turned to look at each of their faces and gave them a smile in return. "Yea. I have you guys now." The bell rang, indicating that class is to resume again. "Let's hurry back, guys" Yuri said as everyone followed her back downstairs. The rest of the week went by without much disturbance. If anyone gave you or Yuri a hard time, the boys would always jump in to your defense. Then, Friday rolled around.

It was fifth period. There was ten minutes left of class. Before the bell could ring to dismiss you all, the teacher had some news for you. "Over the weekend, I want all of you to get into pairs to write a paper." The class erupted in moans and groans. "No complaining. Everyone choose a partner." Everyone started going around the classroom to pick their partner. Before you had a chance to talk to Yuri, Mark was already in front of your desk. "Aria! Be my partner?" Taken aback, you turned towards Yuri, only for her to give you an amused look that says "go on." You turned back to Mark and gave him your answer. "Sure, Mark. Let's be partners." Happy that you agreed, he gave you his famous charismatic smile. Jinyoung asked for Yuri to partner up with him to which she agreed. The rest of the boys partnered up with each other. While Jay B was partnered with another classmate. "Let's meet at my house tomorrow so we can start on our project" you told Mark. "Okay, I'll come by tomorrow then." The bell rang, and everyone headed towards their last class of the day. "Umm, hyung. Did you forget what's tomorrow?" Bambam asked. Mark tilted his head. "No, what's tomorrow?" The boys gave each other glances. "Tomorrow's the full moon." Realization hit him as his eyes widen. Oh shit, this isn't good.
