Chapter One

   Thomas POV

Clang clang

What was that?

I shot up in my bed to find my little brother, Chuck smashing two pots together

"WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BACEY"

"Chuck what the fu-"

"WATCH YOUR PROFANITY"

"SoRrY. What the shuck are you doing?"

"Well SOMEONE'S leaving for college today and I just know I would be the first thing you wanted to see before you left" he said, innocently batting his eyelashes

If I'm being honest, I totally forgot that was today.

"Mhm sure, little dude. Well I gotta get packing, tell Mom I'll be down stairs in a minute"

He walked out and left me to pack, thinking about college. I'm going to WICKED University, which is on the complete other side of Denver. I would never admit it but I'm really gonna miss Chuck finding weird, annoying ways to wake me up everyday. Once I finished packing and double checked I grabbed my favorite blue hoodie, and walked downstairs to get breakfast.

I looked up to see my Mom and Chuck eating nutella pancakes together. My favorite!

"Hey sweetie!" she said, standing up to give me a hug

"Hey Mom" I say, wishing this wasn't going to be my last breakfast with them for another few months

After finishing my pancakes, Mom and I put my suitcases in the car and it was time to say bye to Chuck.

I could tell he was upset and trying to hold back tears

"Hey, Chuck look at me"

"It's going to be okay. I'll visit whenever I can and you have a phone now, you can text or call me whenever you want, okay?"

"Okay" he said giving my a hug. Shit, I'm really gonna miss him. I take a deep breath and make my way to the car.

  ***** 5 hour drive later*****

My Mom pulled into the University parking lot and unlocked the car

"I guess it wouldn't be cool to walk with your Mom to your dorm" she said laughing a bit, her eyes a bit glossy

"Aw Mom, I'm gonna miss you so much. I'll visit as soon as I can, okay?" I say. She takes a deep breath and nods

"Okay I love you, please be safe"

"Don't worry, I will. I love you too" I say as I walk out the car and grab my luggage. I take a few steps back and wave to my Mom as she drives away.

This is really it! I'm in COLLEGE!!!!! Well actually I should probably go sign in the office, then I can say I'm in college!!! I make my way through the parking lot and walk to this huge building that says 'Registration Building'. I'm greeted by an older looking women in a white dress and grey sweater.

"Hello, my name is Ava Paige. I'm assuming you're here to get your dorm key?"

"Yes ma'am. My name is Thomas Murphy" I say, trying to sound professional

"Okay, let me see...." she says as she goes through a few drawers

"Here you go, your schedule, key, and dorm room is in this folder. If you have any more questions, you can come and ask me." she says with a warm smile

"Thank you!" I say making my way out the door

I look through my folder as I walk to Building A. I spot it not to far from me so I run the rest f the way. Once, I get in I make my way to Room 250, on the second floor. As I make my way through the building I see a bunch of other teens about my age, carrying things to their dorm rooms.

There it is! I think to myself when I see my dorm room across the hall. I take a deep breath and get my key out. I walk in and hear shouts from somewhere in the dorm.

"If your here to kidnap me I will kick your pony- lovin butt!" I hear someone say. Then I hear the most angelic, British voice.

"Bloody Hell, Minho. It's probably my new roommate"

Two boys walk in front of me, an Asian boy who looks just a little bit older than me, and a taller boy with fluffy blonde hair and golden brown eyes-

Holy shit he's hot

He flashed me a smile and said "The name's Newt, Greenie"
