"Yes!" I fist pumped the air, then turned to see Frida practicing the backfist hand attack with Eli. She stopped at my outburst and both turned to me. "I managed to attach the malware to an ad."
"Ad? What's that got to do with you wanting to hack into their phones?" Eli questioned, grabbing a bottle of water.
"I'm going to send ads to their emails and once they click on a download link I'll put there somewhere they will think it's something legitimate but behind the scenes, my spyware will be installed in their system. That's all I need to track their activity."
"What if they won't click on it?"
"That's why I'm going to send them ads about something they won't be able to resist. I'll need Kaan for that to figure out what it is they are most passionate about."
"Beating the shit out of us?" Frida suggested. "Maybe send them something about a bully club or something where all of them come together to share their wonderful, fun times with us."
"They will jump right into it, no doubt," I said, shaking my head. "How's that attack coming along?"
She shook out her arms. "My arms are aching! This technique is intense."
"It's no where near perfect. Just work on your fist. It's never firm enough. You'll end up injuring yourself that way." I turned back to Eli's computer screen. "Where's Colin? He's late today."
By fifteen minutes."I don't know. Doing overtime at the restaurant maybe," Eli said.
Another fifteen minutes passed and I found myself restless and glancing towards the basement door for any sign of him. He had never been this late to practice before. It was annoying, I was getting distracted from what was more important and that was working on making sure the malware functioned well once installed via the ads.
Footsteps sounded and I rose to question Colin on why he was late. But a moment later, I realised there were two sets of feet. Eli and Frida paused at the sounds.
Once I saw another pair of legs, this one bare and feminine with heels on next to Colin as they descended down the stairs, I groaned. "What the fuck, Colin? Your girlfriend is not welcome here. This place is supposed to be a secret and I don't trust that girl."
Instead of snapping back at me like I expected her to, she stopped at the last step and looked around in wonder. "Is this where she trains you?" She directed the question to Colin.
"Yes, now you may leave."
"Oh my God, what happened to you?" Eli cried out.
My gaze shifted to Colin who I hadn't looked at until then. He had a busted lip and was leaning on one side with a hand to his abdomen. "Sorry Julia, but Boonsri wouldn't leave me alone after Maira and her friends were gone."
"It has been a while since they bothered any of us. So why did they come after you now?" Frida asked the question everybody was wondering.
"It's because he is starting to get popular, starting to climb the social ladder higher than them and they don't like it," I said. "Did you manage to do any damage to them?"
"Yes, actually. I did," he said with his head high, looking proudly down on Frida and Eli, no doubt a veiled taunt.
I narrowed my eyes. "What are you guys not telling me?"
"It's nothing," Frida said quickly.
But Colin said at the same time, "They were cornered by them a few days ago and didn't do anything."
I walked towards Frida and stopped in front of her. Now up this close I could see a faint bluish purple bruising under her eyes which could easily pass for black circles. I rubbed under her eye to wiped off the concealer. "And I thought the makeup was for Aurelio." I turned to Eli. "What did they do to you?"
