Chapter Two

I eventually get into the car after walking through the lengthy parking lot. There I'm met by my family, they all congratulate me on my current achievement.
"Thank you," I say to everyone. " I could have never made it without you all."
The rest of that day is pretty much a blur, I just scrolled through Facebook, seeing every one of my classmates that went out to eat together to celebrate. I never got invited, but honestly, it is what it is. I soon just decide to put my phone back on the charger and go to sleep.

The next day I get up earlier than I usually did. I needed to meet up with my college counselor to fill out all of my paperwork for my financial aid. Because hey, the earlier the better right.
"Comfy clothes," I say out loud while I head to my closet. Why would I want to look nice? There isn't anyone I'm trying to impress anyway.
I put my hair into a messy bun. Get dressed in my baggy joggers and a gay pride t-shirt. And make my way out the door.
Guess I have to take the bus. I say to myself as I notice that the car is no longer in the driveway. Mom must be out running some errands.
I grab a couple of dollars and my headphones out of the house before I lock the door once more and start to head to the bus stop.
In Saint Louis, you never know what you are going to see while riding the bus. It's like a reality show in real life.
The bus pulls up to the stop 10 minutes later, and I hop on. Give the lady my money and make my way to my favorite seat. Right next to the back door, so I don't have to pass by anyone to get off.
As I sit down I put on one of my favorite songs by Demi Lovato and block everyone out. I can already tell this is going to be a very long day.
