"There are stories of amazing, brilliant detectives that's use their wits to outwit the murderer and catch them, one of the most notable is....."

"Micado, would you like to join the class?" A middle aged woman's voice said making a boy sitting in the back of the class near the window raise his head from the book he was reading.

"Sorry Jing-sensei ," Micado apologized, "What was the  question?"

Jing-sensei sighed and rubbed her temples, then went to point at the board, but she stopped with a confused look on her face, "It's to solve the equation, but I lost the piece of chalk I just had."

Micado tilted his head and everyone could see his sky blue eyes from under his long white bangs, "It's under the desk right next to the foot closest to the board on the left." He said making Jing-sensei raise an eyebrow.

She bent down next to the desk and then came up with a short piece of chalk, and a surprised look on her face.

"How did you know that?" She asked and he smiled softly.

"Whenever you turn around from the board your dominant hand, which you hold the chalk in, is dropped down to your side." Micado started to explain making every student look at him.

He blushed in embarrassment and started playing with his bangs, but continued, "Your grip was a little light this time so when your hand dropped the chalk slipped out with just a small chink on the floor and then rolled under the desk after it landed."

Micado was still messing with his bangs when he heard the teacher sigh, "Ok well, can you answer the equation on the board?"

Micado looked up and studied the board and the equation before having a small smile, "It's Y=-2." He said just loudly enough to be heard and the teacher nodded as she looked over it.

"Good job Micado, now let's go over how he got to the answer." Jing-sensei said as Micado tuned out the rest of the lesson.

Micado then went back to reading his book until a little paper airplane landed on his book.  He looked up and didn't see who threw it, but he had a pretty good idea though of who it was.  He flipped his book over so it stayed open and then opened up the airplane.

"Don't think you're so special just because you don't struggle in this class, just wait, you'll get what's coming to you."

Micado sighed silently and took a picture of the note without letting his phone make a sound, then he spun his pencil on his finger before catching it and writing down his response.

He didn't look directly as he threw it, but he saw it fly around the students in the back row and curve to land on the desk of one of the other boys in the class.

He watched as the boy opened the paper and read his message back to him. The boy looked up at him glaring, but Micado was not interested. He was used to glares and threats from the student body. The only ones who never threatened him were the staff and his only friend, who wasn't disturbed by his intelligence and he was thankful for it.

Micado's eyes dulled in the sunlight from sky blue to pastel as he sighed quietly.  Mrs. Jing wasn't a horrible teacher at all, but honestly no teacher could keep his interest in their class long enough, and all of them knew it.  That was another reason the students hated about him.

Not only was he crazy intelligent, which wasn't something he wanted to show, but he could get away with doing basically nothing in class.  Micado wouldn't lie and say he hadn't thought of ending it, but it seemed pointless to him at this point.

He watched as the clock hands moved slowly, and then finally the bell rung out signaling everyone for lunch. Micado sighed and didn't move as he felt the presence of another person right next to him.

"Can I help you, Ling-kun?" He asked and heard a low growl.

"Don't act all high and mighty just because you can get away with stuff, it's pissing everyone else off." Ling growled and Micado felt the wind rush past his face.

He moved his head just slightly and made Ling's hand slam onto Micado's desk, which threw Ling off balance a little, but Micado did not try to act on it as he sighed.

"Ling-kun, I could not care less what anyone else thought about me." He said then turned away and stared out the window.

He heard Ling growl again, but a voice at the classroom door stopped him, "Ling-kun, I wouldn't provoke Hitori-kun, I'm sure he can easily protect himself."

Footsteps were heard and Micado smirked lightly to himself as his only friend, Xiang Grier, stopped next to him and looked at Ling with a little smile on his lips.

"What did you do to provoke Ling-kun this time Hitori-kun?" Xiang asked his friend who scoffed.

"I didn't do anything to him, I just helped Jing-sensei find her chalk, then read my book the rest of class."

Micado heard Xiang sigh deeply, then he felt his breath on his ear as Xiang bent close to him.

"That's why he's pissed, besides me and the teachers no one likes how intelligent you are, Hitori-kun." Xiang whispered and Micado clicked his tongue in distaste and turned his head away.

He heard movement in front of him and heard Ling mumble something he couldn't hear, then stomp off. Xiang sighed beside Micado and rubbed the back of his head.

"I swear, one of these days he'll actually try to act on his promise."

Micado didn't respond then saw Xiang spin a chair around and sit in front of him.

"I've always been curious why you act so indifferent to everything around you? Are you bored all the time?"

Micado smirked, then finally turned and looked at his friend, "If I was bored all the time why would I need a friend?"

"Shut up I'm serious." Xiang chuckled with a small smile that dragged one out of Micado, who chuckled softly, his eyes brightening back to their sky blue color.

He sighed softly, "It's just that everything doesn't seem as fun anymore, I don't know maybe I'm crazy thinking like this because of my intelligence, but yes I am bored."

Xiang nodded as Micado continued, "I don't remember if I told you, but back in middle school I was tempted all three years to just climb the fence around the roof, and jump off ending everything."

"The loneliness, the hatred, the boredom, the feeling of abandonment by peers and my family, then I met you," Micado admitted, and Xiang smiled, "and somehow your little annoying self burrowed it's way into my life." He joked at the end making his friend punch his arm.

"Yeah yeah, whatever you say Hitori-kun."

Micado smiled softly before he turned and looked at the doorway, "You might as well as show yourself, I know your there."

Xiang was confused why he said that when a figure stepped into the doorway of their classroom.
