A/N I decided to regularly post some WW2 movie scenes and montages and talk about them in every chapter.

There are men that are called when they need someone to win the war. "What kind of men are they?" you may ask.

Well my answer would be "The kind of men that have the will, hope and determination to keep going, even in the darkest times".

"We Shall go on to the end!" 4 June 1940. Speech by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Winston Churchill is one of my many idols, perhaps the biggest.

An abandoned Hydra bunker in Sokivia is where Peter and his panzerbesatzung (tank crew) were put in cryochambers. A error in the system triggered the cryochambers to open... 74 years later.

The whole room was surrounded by surgical tables, computers, Hydra signs.

Peter's POV

I woke up, not knowing where I am. From what I could tell I was put in some sort of a cryochamber in... Hydra?! I can't believe...they are traitors... my crew... I looked to my left to see a disoriented Kertz and Schroder looking at me.

"Kommandant! Are you ok?" Schroder asked.

"Yes, Schroder." I replied.

"Where are we?" Kertz asked, bewildered.

"We are in one of Hydra's secret bunkers." Peter explained.

"It looks abandoned... but why?" Kertz asked.

"I don't know Kertz... we-" Peter was interrupted by Schroder who was looking inside the 4th cryopod.

"I found Hartmann... he is dead..." he announced.

Peter looked around in despair, wanting answers to his questions.

"Kertz, Schroder find a way out. While you're at it, search the bunker for anything useful, weapons, food, maps." He ordered., walking to hallway.

"What will you do, Kommandant?" Schroder asked.

"I'll find answers." He said.

~skidaddle skidoodle I am a time skipple~

Peter was rummaging through files in a room filled with data logs and other sensitive documents. He found what he was looking for.

Dokument 9. April 1945

"I have been ordered to evacuate this bunker and join forces with General Burgdorf to assist in battling with the soviets and the allies. I have also recieved news of our glorious Fürher's death and Hydra's betrayal. I will leave behind some staff to guard the specimen."

Dokument 11 Dezember 2011

"The bunker was fully evacuated by the order of the commanding officer, because of a search party for any soviet spies. The specimen are secure and cannot escape. Heil Hydra!"

Peter couldn't read anymore... he got out of the bunker to see Kertz and Schroder waiting for him near a Kettenkrad with a small trailer behind it filled with food, guns and what not.

"Peter, did you find anything?" Kertz asked.

Peter didn't say anything.

"Kommandant?" Schroder said, concerned.

"Deutschland verlor den Zweiten Weltkrieg. We were frozen and kept for 70 years."

"What? 70 years?!" Schroder said.

Peter took the red banner displaying his allegiance to the Nazis off his arm and dropped it on the ground

"Yes." Peter said.

"Mein Godt" Kertz said.

"Did you find anything else in the bunker?" Peter asked.

"This map" Kertz pulls it out. "Shows a nearby fortress, perhaps it is abandoned."

"Schroder, drive us to that fortress." Peter ordered.

"Ja, Kommandant." Schroder complained.

They drove to the fortress, which, not to their knowledge, was attacked by the Avengers a week ago. It was abandoned. The three searched the whole building. Schroder found records of the previous occupiers.

"Warnung! Wir werden von den Avengers angegriffen! Alle verfügbaren Kräfte schließen sich der Verteidigung an! Dies ist kein Training, ich wiederhole, dies ist kein Training!"

"Kommandant!" Kertz called from the entrance to the room. "You should see this." He motioned him to follow.

Peter followed him to an underground garage. Peter was surprised to see "Stefan" in one piece just standing there.

"Stefan is here Peter!" Kertz said exited.

Peter put on a smile.

"Can you start the engine?" he asked.

"I haven't looked inside, I don't know in what shape the mechanical components are, but I'll take. Ugh. a look" Kertz said, climbing on top of the tank.

Peter and Kertz did a check on the engine and other stuff, now it was time to see if it really works. Kertz sat on the driver's seat, pulled the decompression pump pulley and pushed a button above the pulley. The engine tried starting up.

"Come on..." Kertz said, his finger still on the button.

The engine made a loud electical noise before fully starting up.

"Hahaha! He's alive Peter!" Kertz sounded extremely happy.

But that happiness was short lived as the engine died.

"Kertz what happened?" Peter asked.

"I don't think he ran out of fuel, the gauge was full. I'll check for any internal damages to the and see what I can do." Kertz said.

"OK. Call me if you need anything." Peter said.
