The change is for what the characters look like after the infection. I've decided to make one of their eyes their infected eye color, kind of like a small part of the infection is still in them and shows on one of their eyes. But the eye is not infected, it's only the eye color. Have Torcher as a reference:

Only the infected-eye-color thingy applies to an eye with a colored pupil (Mother is an exception since she has both black eyes.).
Oh, and the AU change won't affect Robby, Zompiggy, Skelly, Parasee and Dinopiggy and all characters that are canonically never infected.
