What's that noise?

"It's an awfully lonely night here," Freddy said to himself as he glanced around the empty building. Everyone was sleeping, except him. It's been a couple weeks since they shut down. We would have left by now, but there's nowhere to go. We still have everything we need here, so it isn't all that bad. Though the memories of all the fun they had were quite painful. He wishes he hadn't taken it for granted...

The building was still the same as it had always been. The only difference was it was slightly dirtier, and the doors were boarded shut. It's weird, how those people treat us. We may be completely different, but we still think and feel. Trapping us in here like that... We didn't even do anything to deserve this! Those goddamn humans, when I get out of here- when WE get out of here, they're going to pay dearly. Until then....

There was a knock. 2 of them, actually. It was unclear where it came from, but Freddy went investigating. He walked aimlessly around for about 2 minutes, and he heard it again. This time it was more distinct, and it sounded like it was coming from somewhere near the stage. Freddy peeked into the parts and service room, only to see that door, cracked ever so slightly open. The knock again, and this time he knew it's origin. We had been instructed never to go down there, but who is here to stop us?

Walking to the door, he felt uneasy. This previously restricted area is now accessable to us, and there's something down there? Opening the door the rest of the way, he stared in awe at the massive spiral staircase before him. Beginning his decent, the knocking grew ever louder. The faint glow of old, stained lights contributing to his sense of unease. Upon making it to the bottom of the steps, he stared at the hallway in front of him. Most lights were broken, but he could see a faint silhouette at the end. Then it seemingly disappeared, and Freddy froze out of fear.

Freddy didn't want to keep going. This was roughly the point at which one would turn around and leave, but sadly that wasn't an option. Freddy slowly creeped down the hall, squinting as to see better. Why were there scuttling noises?

At the end of the hall, there was a wall. Freddy was about to turn back, but he caught a glimpse of a small vent opening at the bottom of the door. How convenient!

Freddy bent down and opened the vent panel. As soon as he did, there was the almost deafening sound of fast crawling through the ventilation shaft. That was the final straw. Freddy turned back and made his way back up to the pizzaria.

By the time Freddy made his way back upstairs, he could see the sunrise through the boards on the windows. Good thing everyone else was still asleep. As Freddy made his way back on to the stage, he glanced back at the parts and service room. The door downstairs was still open, the darkness still leaving its offer on the table. Freddy shook his head and sat back down on the stage with his head in his hands, still reeling over the experience he had less than 10 minutes ago. It's gonna be hard to explain this one to the gang...
