The feud was weeks ago, when the girl wouldn't shut-up. She knew it would annoy her best friend, but she didn't think it would start the war. When the girl's best friend started getting mad and told her to stop, the girl replied with a simple sentence. "You can't control everyone."
That started a chain of shouts and insults, and others in the group did not know who to choose. The girl was the nicer one, but she wasn't as beautiful as her best friend. But finally, they decided. They decided on the girl's best friend, because her beautiful, threatening nature called to them. That was how she started her group, as she was not nice at all. No, she started it with her intimidation and her control.
So the girl was friendless for much of the week, sitting with another group of girls but not connecting with them. When she was confronted by her ex-best friend, she would always say the same thing. "You can't control everyone, Elizabeth." When she was alone, she would read, because her books were the only things that didn't remind her of her friendless lifestyle.
She met other people, better people, in her opinion. She had known them from afar but never really knew them. They connected immediately though and thoughts of her betrayal were wiped away. The girl soon became the leader of her new group, like a general controlling his troops. And soon, people started to notice, even Elizabeth.
And again, the girl was confronted, only this time, Elizabeth said one sentence. "You can't control everyone, Lilly."
