Sam's POV

I had now made it to Sky's room. The door was closed. I went up and knocked on it. No answer. I tried again. "Skylar?" I called. Still nothing. I now slowly opened the door peeking in carefully in case. Stepping into the room, i could quickly see that Skylar was not in sight. Was she in the bathroom? I walked into her room wondering how long I should wait when I felt a slight breeze. Her screen door was open and I could see her sitting outside on the furniture on the balcony. I stepped outside and closed the screen door behind me.

"Hey" I said making my way towards where she was sitting. I must've startled her because she slightly jumped.

"What do you want?" She said in a somewhat sassy tone.

"I came up here to see what your fucking problem is." I started

"Its nothing for you to worry about. " Sky snapped

"What is your deal? Look I'm sorry that I ruined your evening by kissing you back. Had I known it would result in this, i would have never done it." I snapped back. My feelings for Sky were starting to change into something negative. "In fact I'm sorry in general for even caring because clearly you don't give a fuck. I was only trying to figure out why you dissed me like that. You don't need to be such a bitch about it."

A shocked and slightly angry look passed over Skys face and as she opened her mouth to speak, i cut her off. "Dont bother wasting your time yelling at me. I'll get out of your space. Again sorry for caring."
I turned to head back into the house.

"Samuel, stop!"

I stopped when I heard her tone.

"Dont go. Come back." Skylar commanded

I turned around. She took a breath and looked hesitantly at me.

"Sammy,  please." She said in a much quieter tone.

"Why?" I questioned

"Just please." She said

I couldnt resist that face. Even when she was being a literal pain in the ass, this girl was still fucking adorable. I sighed. "Fine."

"I promise I''ll be nice." She said softly before dropping her eyes to her hands.

I walked over to the large cushioned lounge chair she was sitting on. She sat up and I sat down next to her.
"I'm sorry I called you a bitch." I said.

"Sammy, you don't need to be sorry. I'm sorry I was being a bitch. And..."

"Still it was wrong for me to call you that." Sam cut in.

"Ok, i forgive you. Now let me speak." Sky said putting a finger to my lips.  She put her hand down when I silenced. "About the kiss, i wasn't angry at you. I was angry with myself. I shouldn't have kissed you. I wasn't in the right frame of mind for that and it was unfair to you. And I'm sorry I pushed you away like that."

I sat there listening in slight confusion but I kept quiet.

"Sam, I need to be honest with you. I really like you. Like a lot". Sky said, a little blush coloring her cheeks. "You're super nice and sweet and funny. And you're really cute."

"So are you." I said trying to look her in the eyes. "But what do you mean you weren't in the right frame of mind?"

Skylar didn't respond right away but after a bit she said. "My boyfriend, well my ex boyfriend called me today. We dated for a little more than 2 years. Basically he called telling me that he misses me and wants me back and that he should never have cheated on me or left me and all sorts of shit. We broke up a few days before coming on this trip. When he called me and was telling me all those things I felt so torn. I knew that he hurt me but something in me so badly wants his affection and love that some part of me was almost willing to go back to him."
