"Happy Valentine's Day!"

"Oh, thanks! Gosh...I've been waiting for this!" Tadashi's eyes feasted on the glossy giri chocolate placed on his desk. I chuckled and turned to the last desk, placing a small packet of the homemade sweet on it.

"Is that for me?" Hiro strolled into the classroom with Yuzuru and zeroed in on the cutely-decorated item on his desk. 

"Yup, giri chocolate!" I smiled and rolled my empty bag up, slotting it under my desk. "I made your share too."

"Where's mine?" Yuzuru asked curiously, looking down at his empty desk. 

"I didn't make your share," I looked away, feigning ignorance. "You have so many, anyway."

He stared at me for a while, slightly taken aback. "What do you mean?" Yuzuru retorted indignantly, crossing his arms.

"C'mon Yuzu, I'll share mine with you! Ricchan probably just forgot, right?" Tadashi put his arm around Yuzuru, trying to diffuse the situation.

Yuzuru brushed his arm away and pulled his seat out roughly, rolling his eyes at me. "Some friend you are." He sat down, noisily tucking in his seat and stuffed his bag under his desk, making loud, angry grunts. 

His tantrums again, huh...I sighed as the teacher walked in, starting the lesson.

"Come on, how long are you going to be mad for?"

He took larger steps and sped up, brushing me off. I sighed loudly and ran up beside him, rustling the huge bag of chocolates he was carrying.

"Look at that. You're going to get diabetes if you finish all of that," I continued, matching his footsteps. "I couldn't add to that, right?"

Yuzuru huffed and rolled his eyes at me. "Excuses. You made them for Tadashi too! He gets lots of chocolates too!"

"Tadashi's different. He has like, 5 siblings to share them with! And you..." I sighed softly, looking away. "You'll feel obligated to eat them all if you ate mine."

Yuzuru slowed down and turned his head slightly, glancing at me. "...You knew?"

"You'd always get sore throats and coughs after Valentine's Day. You used to give them to the kids at the rink instead of eating them all, didn't you?"

He scratched his head guiltily, sighing. "I mean, I feel bad if I just...you know...but not receiving any chocolate from you is weird. Especially when Tadashi and Hiro received yours."

"Well..." I smiled secretively as we stopped in front of my house. "It's not like I didn't have anything prepared for you."

"Eh?" He widened his eyes in surprise. "Really? Where-"

"Go home first and come back in 30 minutes!" I quickly took off my shoes and slipped into the house, leaving him standing outside cluelessly.

"Wha-" I heard him calling my name a few times before sighing exasperatedly, entering the house beside mine.

"30 MINUTES!" He opened his window and shouted from his room, loudly enough for me to hear from the kitchen.

"YEAH!" I shouted back, chuckling as I quickly took out some things from the fridge, setting up for the surprise.

"Done yet?" He leaned out from the window, peeking over. 

"Not yet! 5 minutes more."

"Hurry up, I'm starving..." He grumbled, resting his arms on the windowsill. I arranged the items neatly on the table, making one last check.
