'Psssssshhhhhh!'
-
The bus stops. I look out the window to see the gates to hell with a label above them. "Verinsburgh High School"
I get off of the bus with and uneasy expression. On my face.
"I'm not ready for this kind of commitment.." I whisper to myself.
I take a step back to really soak everything in. Then I walk through the giant double doors. Waiting at the door is the devil himself. The principle, Mr. Blazedale.
I manage to squeeze by without getting caught in his deadly stare.
As I walk through the hallways, I notice a few familiar faces in the bundle of Jane and John Does.
In the corner of my eye, I see a strange figure getting closer and closer.
I turn to see, Madeline Davis, looking as if she's about to tackle me.
"Oh my gosh! It feels like it's been forever!" Madeline screams to the top of her lungs with a great howl. She nearly knocked me down to the ground.
"Hey! What's up?!" I tried to be friendly but this girl just really gets on my nerves. She always wants the attention and is very arogent.
"I've missed you!" she says with a tight hug.
"Uhhmmnn.." I make a noise out of disgust as she raps her arms around me.
The tardy bell rings and everyone parts off into different class rooms, including Madeline.
I then walk to my class so that I don't get in too bad of trouble for being late.
"Where were you?!" Mrs. Zanera yells as if I had committed a murder or something.
"I'm not used to the school yet" I say with a little giggle. "I got a little lost."
"Okay then. Just take a seat. Now... what was I about to do..? Oh yes! Call the role!"
Mrs. Zanera was quite a talker. She narrated every single moment of her life. She did it quite loudly too.
When you catch her in a good mood, she's the most amazing teacher in the world but when she's not..? She's your worst nightmare.
