Introduction

Best friend

My best friend. Johnny Orlando. My name is Jordan Wells. John and I have known each other since 5th grade. John had always tried to flirt but we were nothing more than best friends. We hung out all the time with all our friends (Tate, Hayden, Noah, Jules, Kenzie, Nadia, Asher, and Emily) One day at the start of the school year I started walking to school. I walked past John's house and he ran out to see me. he swung his arm around my shoulder.

"Hey princess," he said.

I playfully pushed his arm off my shoulder.

"Hey weirdo,"  I said as he pretended to pout.

We got to school on time. We were all in the same classes since we were all the same age. I was in the same grade as John only because I skipped 2nd grade. I don't consider myself popular. People think I'm one of the popular girls because I'm friends with all the popular kids like John. I didn't get bullied and I was just a normal 16yr old although, I had the 3rd best grades in my grade. John was a typical 17yr old, going to parties every weekend, super athletic. He loved hockey with a passion, probably because he lived in Canada. He wasn't extremely rich but he had a good amount of money. We all lived in Los Angeles.

After going to my classes I went to lunch and saw John and the others sitting at our usual table. I got my lunch and sat down next to Nadia.

"well there's the hottie," Hayden said.

I rolled my eyes.

Hayden Summerall. Hayden had always liked me but I really had no feelings for him. He was a Jock and played football.

"give it up already Hayden," Asher said.

"the real hottie is right here," he said putting his arm around Jules, his girlfriend.

Jules Leblanc. She usually went by Annie but I guess she changed her mind. She was super rich and she had the most popular boyfriend, Asher.

Asher Angel. The richest kid in school, mainly because of his parents giving him money every two seconds. He was a Jock, super tall, and played every sport.

"sure," Noah said.

Noah Schnapp. One of the sweetest people I've ever met. Super smart and talented. He was rich but never showed it. He always put others before himself. He and John were best friends. He wasn't into sports. He really liked Tate.

Tate Mcrae. She was a tough one. She kept to herself, dancing and singing. She and Kenzie are best friends as well. Nobody could really get her. She is always single but she goes to every party.

Kenzie Ziegler. She was a dancer like Nadia and Emily. She has an older sister, Maddie but she already graduated. Super talented. She has great style. Supposedly she and John dated but they pretended that nothing happened between them. They are best friends.

Emily Skinner. Super pretty and tall. She was super-rich like the rest of them. She is also a cheerleader. She danced a lot for the Van Nuys high school dance team. Our mascot was the Wolf.

Nadia Turner. She was quiet and was always buried in her drawings and fashion designs. If she wasn't doing those she was dancing. She is always dancing.

I had really never gotten along with the girls. I always had loads of guy friends; they are so much easier than girls. There's hardly any drama.

I ate my lunch.

Emily sat close to Noah, basically staring at him. She really liked him but he wasn't into her. He has never dated. He's a nerd in the best way possible.

"so have you all studied for the Math test tomorrow?" Noah said specifically looking at Asher.

"no," John, Kenzie, Jules, Asher, Nadia, and Hayden said.

Only me, Tate, and Emily said yes.

"it's 50 percent of our grade!" Noah said.

"who cares the only thing that is important is football," Asher said.

"you realize that to get a scholarship in sports you have to have good grades right?" Noah said.

"Like you would know anything about sports. Nerd" Asher said getting up.

"don't listen to him Noah," I said.

He got up without another word and walked out.
