It's the mid 90's. 1996, my year. John Major had just become Prime Minister, Oasis was massive and the fashion was better than ever.
Me, Gilana, Natalie, Arianne and Holly were coming out of the pool complex in our holiday resort in Greece. We were all wearing our bikinis with cover-ups and floppy hats. We were kind of glamorous girls, us. We liked to look like celebrities. And then this boy caught my eye. He was stood in front of a slick, black, expensive Cadillac. I recognized him from somewhere. His hair was let loose, floppy and blonde, with a natural cows-lick; his eyes were piercing blue, always squinting; and he wore a loose white top with (baggy) skinny jeans. He was definitely a hottie. Not my type, however.
He was looking at me, I could tell. We were all walking together, laughing, chatting; and Arianne whispered "He's looking at you,".
"Excuse me, miss!" he called out, in a strong American accent. I stopped the group.
"May I help you?" I answered.
"How about I take you out, huh?"
I laughed. Who does he think he is? "Where?" I asked.
"Anywhere." he said.
"When?" I asked.
"Uh, now," he said.
I looked at my friends. I wasn't sure whether he was hot so I should go for it, or he was a tramp so no.
"I'll have you know, I'm not easy to please." I said.
"I don't care." The boy said. "Its just, when I want something, I have to get it. The desire for it burns too hot in my stomach and I need to have it. I want you."
I looked him in the eyes. Those deep blue eyes, they always looked like they were squinting into the sun. I gave in. "Pick me up at 6. My apartment is 6DGS. Got it?" I began to walk away. "Oh- and take me somewhere classy." I said.
"If you have the money for it!" Natalie called to him. They all laughed.

I checked the time. 5:23pm. How was I ready already? I sat by my dressing table, checking my foundation for blotches.
"Vic, I'm not sure if this is a good idea," I turned to see Gilly leaning on my shoulder.
"I know..." I agree. "But there's something about him, you know? He may not be my type but he seems to really like me. Maybe I should just give him a shot." I said to her.
"But Vic, he's poor," Holly said to me.
I laughed. "Then how was he standing in front of a Cadillac?" I said to her. Then she buggered off.
I stood up and looked in the mirror. I was a few inches taller wearing my black stilettos; my lipstick a deep shade of red, complimenting my smokey eyes and winged eyeliner; my hair was loosley curled and I wore a black, backless dress. I looked hot.
Then there was a knock on the door. Holly went to open it, but I gave her a death stare, no. I stood in front of the mirror. It was at least 30 degrees C outside, and my hair was frizzing up with the humidity. There was already sweat on my forehead. Oh lord.
I opened the door, to find a handsome man, who looked slightly like the boy by the Cadillac, except the floppy cows-lick was all slick and the skinny jeans and tshirt replaced with a grey suit. He was the most handsome man I think I had ever seen. "Wow," was all he said. To be honest, I was thinking the same. "You look wonderful," he said.
"So do you," I said, smiling. He took my hand and kissed it, then led me out of the apartment.
"So," he said. "I never got your name?"
"You never asked," I said, smiling cheekily.
There was a silence. "What's your name?" he asked.
"Victoria. Hutchingson, but most people just call me Vic." I laughed.
"I like Victoria," The man said. "My name's Leonardo... DiCaprio. Little 'I' big 'C'" I laughed. "But most people call me Leo." He informed me.
Where do I know that name from? Oh, maybe i'm just thinking of Leonardo Da Vinci?
"I'm surprised you dont recognise me, actually..." he started. I looked at him, confused. "I'm an actor." he told me.
I laughed. "What films have you been in?"
"Not many that you would have heard of... yet." He started. "I've been in 'Critters 3' in 1991, 'This Boys Life' in 1993, and I just finished filming the new 'Romeo and Juliet' movie." I was stunned. He was the little boy from 'This Boy's Life'? I had fancied him so much when I saw that movie! I hadn't seen Romeo and Juliet yet, but I bet it's amazing.
"And, in a couple months I begin working on the new James Cameron film, Titanic."
"Wasn't that a ship?" I ask.
"Yeah. Its based on the true story of the ship."
"How interesting..." I say.

By 11:00pm, I'm sad to say I was drunk. Drunk off cocktails and the occasional shot. Sex on the beach is my favourite, mmm. I can't say whether Leo was drunk as well, frankly I can't remember.
"Let's get you home," Leo said. He had his hand on my wrist and took me back to his car.
"I don't want to go home!" I said, fighting and struggling like a little girl.
And then I puked everywhere. All over Leo's Cadillac.

I woke up in my hotel room on the sofa. Still in my dress, heels on the floor, hair all over my face. I checked the time. It was 1:27pm. Hahaha. I tried to remember the events of last night.
We went to Macy's, we got on really well, I got drunk... He took me to his car... I puked over his car. I thought. I put my head in my hands and cringed for like half an hour. I can't believe I threw up over Leonardo DiCaprio's Cadillac. Guess I wont be seeing him again.
Oh well, no point dwelling on it. I remember Arianne telling me once, "Babe, when things go bad, cry me a river, build a bridge and get the fuck over it." So thats what I did.
I put on my white crotchet bikini, wedges and black kimono, put my Micheal Kors sunglasses onto my head and headed for the pool. I opened the door to my apartment to find Leo there, his hand up, about to knock. "Hi," he said. This time he was back in his usual attire: skinny jeans; black Converse, white V-neck top, floppy blonde hair.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
He laughed awkwardly. "I don't really know..." he said, scratching the back of his neck out of nevousness. "You were a lot of fun last night. I had a good time." He said at last.
"Until I puked up over your Cadillac," I said. He laughed.
"No, I didn't mind that, actually." We both smiled. "I really like you, Victoria."
"You've said before," I said. Playing it hard to get.
"I know," he laughed. "Do you want to go out sometime? Like, on a second date?" he asked.
I thought about it. "Sure," I said.
"Great," he said. "I'll give you a call?"
"Sounds good," I said, and added my contact on his phone. "I'll see you around, then." I said.
"Yeah," he said. I stepped out of the door and we both walked in opposite directions.
