BEAUTIFUL MURDERER

Chapter 9

On the weekend day, Shen Wei brought Zhao Yunlan and Mr. Zhao to the secret basement in her old house. Da Qing follows them as requested by Zhao Yunlan. Shen Wei asked Zhao Yunlan to park the car at the farthest place to avoid anyone knows that basement. They three follow Shen Wei to walk into one of the abandoned cafe and Shen Wei unlocks that cafe door. As they entered into that cafe, Shen Wei locks back that door.

''Why are you locked that door, Wei?'' Da Qing curiously asked.

''To make sure no one notice that this abandoned cafe is still functioning as a secret way to our secret basement,'' Shen Wei told.

Da Qing nods understand as well as Zhao Yunlan and Mr. Zhao that awesome to see the way to that basement. Mr. Shen is really good to build this basement with this secret way. Shen Wei pulls her necklace and she opens the pendant ball, revealing a folding key for the secret door behind the cafe. Mr. Zhao is amazed to see that key is hid in that small pendant ball which Shen Wei can fold the key to fix with that small pendant ball. Beforr this, Mr. Zhao thought that pendant ball is the key, but now he knows that the key is hidden inside that pendant.

''How smart your father, Wei! He is really a genius! He hid it in that pendant ball!'' Mr. Zhao complimented.

Shen Wei just smiles. As the door opened, she asks them to enter and as usual, she locks it back before she shows the way into the basement. Actually, they are already in the basement now but still in the passageway.

''Amazing! How far this passageway to the real basement, Wei?'' Zhao Yunlan asked.

''About a kilometre,'' Shen Wei told.

They nod understand and then they walk through the basement. What amazed to them is that passageway is transparent from the inside which they can see the outside from that passageway.

''Aren't the peoples at outside can see us now?'' Da Qing asked with worry to see the peoples are looking at their side.

Shen Wei chuckles but then she shakes her head.

''They can't see us. Only us can see them. At outside, they can only see the gate. You know border with the mural panting at outside. But us can see them through this passageway. I don't know how my father did that but it's really amazing actually. I admitted that since till now I can't figure out how he did that to make the peoples at outside can see the mural painting on that border but us from here didn't see anything and only can see the real happening at outside,'' Shen Wei explained again and they all nod understand.

They walk about a kilometre and finally they reach to the real basement. Shen Wei opens the door with the same key and they all enter into that real basement.

''You can have a drink in the fridge. Please don't worry those drinks are still new. Those just being changed a few...'' Shen Wei can't finish her words as she remembered that she just revealed her secret did when she saw Zhao Yunlan widened the eyes to her with a curiosity face.

''How did you change? When did you come here?'' Zhao Yunlan asked made Da Qing and Mr. Zhao speechless to hear that.

''Err... I...'' Shen Wei stuttered for her own mistake to reveal that.

''Tell me, Zhao Wei! When did you come here?!'' Zhao Yunlan asked with an anger face while pushing his wife's body to the wall and he cages his wife between him and that wall.

''A... A few days ago... Yezhun... He came here as I wanted to take something important...'' Shen Wei stuttered.

''Something important? What is it that more important than your life?!'' Zhao Yunlan asked with his mad while pinning his wife on that wall, made Shen Wei startled but then Mr. Zhao interrupted them two.
