The small Island Airport

One day, as usual, I woke up, got ready and went to work. I work in a small island airport, a place where i would never, in my life, even imagine that I would see him. Well, I actually never thought that I would just see him in front of me one day but here we are; me narrating my story to the whole world and well to you too, fellow Army around the world.

When I get to work everyday, I proceed to carry on my duties just like anyone else at the airport. The most important thing that I should always remind myself, is that at the airport, you need to have a good head on your shoulders, which means that I need to be alert and intelligent all the time to be able to go on with my duties, as a Customer Service Agent. Believe it or not this particular aspect of having your head on your shoulders helped in a sense that I could see him in the biggest crowd ever. Passengers were busy talking, some were by the luggage carousel waiting, others were running after their children and surprisingly enough some were very calmly sitting on the floor living the moment they were in or as I would put it, they were simply BE.

Everyday at the airport there would be little moments like this where I would just stand still and just let my surroundings inspire me in order to be able to navigate through my 8 hours shift

Everyday at the airport there would be little moments like this where I would just stand still and just let my surroundings inspire me in order to be able to navigate through my 8 hours shift. I clearly remember now that the day I saw KTH, the exact moment that I saw him, I was actually doing this same thing; letting my surroundings inspire me and boy was I inspired that day. I almost shouted at the top of my lungs but I could not because I could have lost my job that day if I were to shout out loud. Just a little glimpse of him would have been enough for me that day to go on with my entire life but no there was more. A lot of things happened that day, a lot of events that I need to wrap my head around first before I could express it into words for you guys.
