Jason looked at Emily, his loving wife, from across the table. They were having a rather solemn meal, remembering this date, as it stuck out to them like a sore thumb. Emily smiles shakily as her husband and looks over at the maid. "Wine. Now." she demanded and the maid hurriedly ran to get the wine. Emily had quite a few.....rather unladylike tendencies. Though she never cared. She did what she felt like, never minding anyone else's remarks. Jason took a large shaky breath. "I need something stronger than wine..." He said quietly and held his head in his hands before smiling the best he could at his wife. He slowly ate his food, trying not to gag it back up. The maid came back with the wine. Emily waved her off and poured it into a large wine glass, just about gulping it down. The maid frowned. "Thinking of your daughter, miss?" she asked softly. "Its been fifteen years since she went missing....don't you think it is time to move on....? It isn't too late to have another as well...." She said and Emily smiled softly at the maid. "Yes......I miss my daughter quite a lot......I'm considering drinking till I can't miss her tonight." She told her. "And I will think on that....Another child running around would be a sight for sore eyes." She sighed. He nodded and took the wine bottle and filled his own glass. He took a big gulp from it and stared at the table for a bit. He then told the maid to leave them be for the time being. She looked up at him. "Thinking about Piper....?" She asked softly. "Truly, she was a sweet lil thing....." He nodded and drank his wine. "She was... Its sad that it was her time to go..." He looked up at he and sighed. She sighed as she heard the phone ring. The maid wasn't in the room, so she got up, picking up the phone. "Hello, this is the Alderbridge residence, how may I help you?" She asked. A feminine voice answered. "Hello, mother. It is nice to hear your voice again. It's been so long since i've seen you and father.....I miss you two.....Do you miss me....?" Emily gasped, dropping the phone and covering her mouth, her eyes wide. "J-JASON, IT'S PIPER!" She screamed. He shot up and ran to her. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S PIPER?!" He said, a look of terror on his face. He picked up the phone and answered with a shaky voice. "P-piper?" A giggle was heard. "Father, why does Mother seem so concerned? And why does it sound like you are trembling? I'm not even there yet." Her voice went dark at the end, the line going dead. Emily was on the floor, breathing heavily. "W-why now? Why just now?" she asked shakily. He got down and hugged. "I don't know love..." He held her tightly and held a knife. She looked around. "And......n-not here yet? W-what could that mean.....?" She asked. Then everything went dark. She screamed, clinging to her husband. He held her tightly and held up the flashlight on his phone and used it to look around. He then gave it to Emily and held up the knife. She trembled as she used it to look around. She froze as she felt an Icy hand grab her own. "Good evening, Mother" A distorted voice whispered and dragged her into a dark area, both of them disappearing. He tried to grab his wife and pull her back, but that thing was stronger. He trembled and looked around. There was no sound for a moment, till soft giggles echoed through the large house. "It's been so long since i've played games with you and mother..." He started to shake in fear, swinging his knife around to hopefully protect himself. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT!?" He screamed and almost tripped. "From you?" the voice echoed. "Nothing. Not yet. Soon though. But.....I am sure you want to see what I did with Mother..." The lights turned back on and the voice stopped, but there was a trail of blood leading to the bedroom. He reluctantly followed it, slowly opening the door and walking in. His eyes widened in terror as he looked at his wife. Her stomach had been cut open, hung by her intestines, blood still dripping from them as they stayed tight on her throat. Not only that, but her heart was laying on the floor beneath her body. He screamed in fear and backed out the door and dialled the police quickly. "My wife! My wife has been murdered!" The police quickly arrived and took away the body, unable to find any clues. No fingerprints, no dna, nothing. They tried to tell him it was some sort of dramatic and masochistic suicide and left. He sobbed to himself, unable to get over it for months.
A year later, on the exact same date, Jason sat at the table staring blankly at the wall, he was ready for anything if it was to happen. "Piper... I really am sorry for what we did..." He said quietly as a tear rolled down his cheek. The phone rang. The same one his wife had answered a year ago. He picked it up and put it to his ear. "Piper..." He looked down at the table and took a deep breath. "Father....." the voice answered, more distorted than the year before. "Come to my room." she demanded. "If you don't come willingly....I will drag you in here just like i dragged Mother to her room....." He set down the phone and stood up, slowly walking to the room. He took a deep breath before opening the door and walking in. She stood there, her pale eyes watching him closely. "Come here." She held out her hand, forcing his body to come to her hand and she held him up by the throat. "Promise me something, father." He gasped for air and nodded while struggling to breath. "When I let you go, you will call the police. You will confess. You will tell them where I am hidden, tell them of how you and mother kept slamming that hammer into my skull, explain to them how you broke my legs so I couldn't run." She demanded. He nodded quickly and started to cry, wanting this to end. She let go and disappeared, leaving behind a small hair pin her mother had been wearing the day they killed her. He grabbed it and dialled the police and told them everything while sobbing, how they killed her and that they hid her body under the willow tree. They arrested him after uncovering the tiny body. Not much could be done, but at least her soul could be at peace.
