OK, since these chapters are short, I think I'll do at least 30 chapters to level it out. Thank you for reading, bye! (don't forget to vote!) Or if you want I can make the chapters longer and do 15.
Luke's POV
Flashback to 1 year ago
"Happy first day of 7th grade, sweety!" Luke's mom called from downstairs.
"GrUmBlE," Luke groaned, sliding out of bed and onto the floor. He had been waiting for this day for forever, and now it was finally here. But he felt some dread at having to go to school. He longed to see Darrel again, but he loathed having to walk alone from his house to school. Stupid disorder! he though, not for the first time, and certainly not for the last.
"Well, if you want to get to school on time, you should probably get dressed," his mom remarked, appearing at his doorway. "Breakfast should be on the table in 10." She stated, walking back towards the kitchen. Luke scrambled to get dressed, and then hurried downstairs.
This is what he was wearing, and to commemorate this day, he wears the same outfit on every first day of school after that.
He also had on some black ripped jeans on and black and white Vans.
He shuffled out the door, a piece of toast still in his hand, and started the long, long walk to school. You can do this, you can do this, he kept telling himself. But he knew he couldn't do it. He fell to the ground in a heap, luckily he fell into the lawn of one of his neighbors. Luke started to shake, but then he felt a hand on his back, and a voice asking him "Hey, are you okay?" and "do you need help?" He stopped crying, and leaned into the hand. He heard the mysterious person sit down beside him. Luke looked up, and was practically nose to nose with Darrel Smigh. Little did they both know, they'd be seeing much more of each other than either could have imagined.
Ok, I think I'll stop now. It's a little late now, so the next chapter will be out by tomorrow at the soonest. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, please vote and tell your friends to read this. Bye! Word count: 408. Time: 3 1/2.
