Our Culture Is Our Identity

Its all about the time when I was in Foreign county. My institution organized a programme. I was getting ready for the program. I was the contestant of the program as well. I was wearing my country's (Nepal)  traditional uniform Daura Surwal. By seeing me like that, my Nepalese friend who is my roomate asked,"why are you wearing that dress ? you have to wear court and paint that will be nice.

After listening to him, I honestly replied we can see many people being in that dress. But If I wear that same paint and shirt that wont matter as that doesn't reflect whom am I, where am I from but if I went on this dress they notice me my culture, My traditional, my country and most important my identity. We all know that our country is popular for its unique feature UNITY IN DIVERSITY and also for our culture,  our tradition. Performancing on mine culture dresss not only represent me but also mine country and mine culture and its a honorable time and nothing is greater than that for me being introduced or representing my identity by mine culture. In today's time our culture is not getting known by all because of youth like us. We are forgeting about our culture and showing interest on other culture. Having interest on culture culture is good but not in the sense of forgeting our own. In this context and situation, I have to the possible thing to preserve our culture and I find it the good way.

My friend got proud of me by listening that and so am I when the things same happen in my institution as I was expecting the same.
