= (y/n) pov =You ran down the streets of the Shiganshina District where you lived in a small house with your mom, dad, and your little sister (s/n). (If you don't have a sister use what ever name you want). We didn't have anything big and fancy but your family was happy. Your mother ran a flower shop and your father was a teacher.
When you saw your house you picked up the speed and busted the door open. "I'm home," you yelled kicking off your shoes at the door since you were not aloud to wear your shoes inside. "Welcome home hun," your mother said, cutting flowers at the sink.
"Can you come help me dear?" she asked, gesturing at the flowers. "Sure, but only if you tell me about the flowers," I say, awaiting her answer.
She smiled "of course." I grinned running over to the sink. I stared at her waiting for her to start talking.
"Well as you know all flower have a meaning," she stared to speak. I sat there quietly cutting the flowers. "Well violets mean to take a chance, wisteria means poetry and youth, daffodils mean new beginnings, gladiolus means strength and courage, chrysanthemum means death-" she talked about flowers for hours. It was my favorite thing to learn about... well almost.
"Hey mom?" I said stopping her mid sentence. "Yeah" she waited for my question.
"What kind of flowers do you think are on the outside of the wall?" I asked. That was my real favorite thing to learn about. My mother smiled "I don't know... why?" she asked. "I want to see the outside... I want to join the scouts and see the outside world..."
I looked up at my mom to see her reaction, thinking she would be mad, but when I looked up I saw her smile. "When you go outside the walls and find all of the new flowers.... promise you will bring them back for me to see them." She still smiled but I could pick up on the small amount of sadness in her voice.
That's something I have always hated. I can always tell what people feel. For some reason I was born with this weird since of hearing. I can hear how people make fun of me for wanting to see the outside world from miles away. I can even hear the titans on the outside of the wall for some reason. Sometimes I just wish the world would go silent.
"I promise." I said smiling up at my mom. Just then I heard my Dad and little sister trying to sneak up to the door. "You know I can hear you right." I smile at them. "SHIT I always forget how well you can hear!!" My father yelled coming in the door, my sister laughing behind him.
"language (f/n)!" my mother spat. "English (m/n)." my father replied. My sister and I looked at each other then at our mother. Then before I could blink, a smack rang throw the house.
'Wow, I could feel that and I didn't even get hit.'
"Oww!" my father cried with his hand on his cheek. My mother just looked at him and went back to cutting the flowers for her shop.
"Anyways (y/n), I have a gift for you," My father said handing me a small package. "Think of it as a late birthday gift," he said sitting at the table. I had just turned 9 a few weeks ago.
I opened the package to find a book about the outside world. My eyes lit up with excitement. All of us sat there all night, reading from the book. I can't wait to see all of these places one day.
=====time skip by just a few days=====
"Hey (y/n) why do you like to read so much?" My (s/n) asked.
"Because I like to learn." was all I responded with. We were siting in my mothers flower garden. I was reading my book and (s/n) was making a flower crown. "Why don't you like to play with the other kids?" she asked.
