Dean is the responsible one in Dean and Gus' grindship because of her ability to get shit done when she doesn't want to and because she remembers to do things that Gus refuses to.
When Dean had a big test, she spent the majority of the three days before the test studying. Much to Gus' chagrin, Dean was off of her phone for most of these days, only going on for quick breaks. This shows Dean is responsible because it portrays her ability to focus and prioritize, both of which are important aspects of responsibility. She was able to get her shit done without distractions, which must've been hard and required a great deal of focus because as we all know Gus is incredibly hard to resist. She was able to put her phone and Pinterest away for the sake of studying, which is basically impossible.
This is unlike Gus because Gus, the days before a large test, didn't get shit done and studied for about an hour before returning to her phone. This is the opposite of responsibility.
Dean not only gets her own shit done, but she tries to convince Gus to do her work, as well. It rarely, if ever, actually works, but she still tries so that counts for something. This shows her responsibility because she looks out for Gus even if Gus is being a stubborn fuck. On top of Dean's own work, she still manages to find time to nag Gus about not doing her work (and Gus appreciates it, she swears).
An outside source- one of Dean's friends, Kinzah- provides even more insight into Dean's responsibility. When asked if Dean was responsible, Kinzah replied with "Sure." When asked to elaborate, Kinzah said "Shanzey [Dean] consistently does her homework." This is key to responsibility because it shows an ability to get tasks done. Furthermore, the talk with Kinzah showed that Gus was not the only person to notice Dean's hard work.
In conclusion, Dean is hella responsible and Gus just wrote a freaking essay to prove it so stfu because she is right, okay?
Although, if she is being honest, Gus wouldn't give a shit even if Dean wasn't responsible, because Dean is one of the best people Gus has ever met and Gus considers herself lucky to be so close to her. She couldn't ask for a better friend or grind.
But Gus is still right.
