She screamed and cried, lost al sense of self until her throat had stopped admitting sound and wherever her tears had come from- it had dried up, nothing left. Most of the guards had laughed as they walked away. they had left Merles body, left her right out of Elvi's touching range. And as she screamed and cried the stars had awoken and disappeared, and just when she'd gone silent the sun rose and the camp went through it's normal motion. And the guards who had laughed so hard the past evening- now looked at her like they were afraid.
Gennan was the only one who approached her that morning. "you will not be working this week, or any time soon for that matter. Someone is coming to get you for what you've done." She was to tired to let those words sink in and guess after any meaning in them. "until then you will eat the leftover food, which is hardly anything and you will stay chained up. If you try to communicate with anyone you shall receive 20 laches." And with those words he left her. Few minutes passed before the exhaustion took over.
She found herself dozing off and waking up again for the next two days. When she was awake she tried to blink away the images of Merle. She tried so hard not to cry but most of the time she failed. And then after two days she heard the sound of horse hooves on gravel. Few moments later the gates of the camp opened and an excessively decorated carriage entered the camp. Immediately a dozen of soldiers walked towards the carriage to greet the you man now stepping out of it. He had wavy blond hair and a slightly rounded face. And as he lifted his head she saw his sensual blue grey eyes. Those eyes scanned over the camp until they rested on her. All soldiers bowed deeply as the seemingly important man passed them and started walking straight towards her.
Meanwhile Gennan had stationed himself next to her. So when the boy arrived he stepped forward and bowed as the soldiers had done before him. "thank you for receiving me so quickly captain Gennan, you may rise." And so he did. "we are honored to accommodate you sir, though I have one question. She'd never heard him speak so quiet. "well I am not planning to stay just here to get what I need. But ask away captain." The boy's voice had something demanding in it while still sounding respectful. "so it's true then you are here to get the girl?" he gestured at her. And as the price looked her way again she decided to speak "I would bow just as the rest did but the cuffs around y hands e-are pretty tight." Even before she had finished the eyes of the captain had started to radiate rage. The boy had noticed to so he spoke these amused words "is that how you speak to a prince?"
A prince? Oh no this must be one of the two princes of Wylan. "so are you Nikon or Hakan?" Elvi asked as she rehearsed the lesson she'd had on the monarchy of her neighboring country. Well she hadn't been in her country, Lyncas for 2 years so she guessed she now was In the kingdom of Wylan. "my name is Nikon but you are to address me as prince or your majesty. She rolled her eyes and replied. "what do you want with me?" he answered without hesitation: "I just need you you're not ready to know yet." And with those words he again turned to Gennan and said "unchain her and get her to my carriage." Then he turned around and walked back to the carriage waiting for Gennan to follow his orders.
Wat would that boy want with her, he was the second son of Demmir and about 2 years younger than her. she got dragged to the carriage. Her legs were sour and wouldn't cooperate so Gennan had almost carried her. Could it have anything to do with wat happened to that guard? The one they told her she'd torn to pieces? Maybe he would execute her for witchcraft. She knew the people of Wylan were less susceptible fore things like that. Meanwhile in Lyncas the whole fraction of Ruel was dedicated to finding the lost magic of this world. Ruel was the smallest fraction of the five. She grew up in Gyda the warriors fraction. There was also Zell where the scholars lived, Yuri the fraction with the port and the most fertile land, and the last fraction was Uxia here was the court of the royal family, in this fraction you could also find the finest craftswoman and craftsmen. All Gydan fighting leathers were made there and only Gyda had better smiths.
She looked at the 16 year old boy again as he spoke. "you must be confused, Gennan told me you don't have any control. Do you even know what's inside of you?" even though she was still drained from wat had happened the past few days? She could finally think clear again. "I know whatever it is, it tore that guard apart so it must be pretty powerful." She thought back at that day. It'd felt like something was taking over, not really a being but a feeling. Rage. It'd been rage. "you're right. But do you know what it is?" ne she didn't "do you?" she said, not giving away whether she knew or not. "no, that's why I'm taking you. We'll figure it out." She didn't know what to answer so she threw her head back and closed her eyes.
Only when she woke up she knew she'd fallen asleep. "how long was I out?" "a few hours, you know you talk a lot in your sleep?" he chuckled. She just nodded and looked out of the small window in the carriage. All around she saw poor, unfed people sitting against the small houses. The prince saw what she was looking at "I wish I could fix this." She put a half smile on and said "then why don't you, you're their prince." "I don't have that kind of power, I have the money but that's not enough to get them off the streets."
