"Prepare for landing," said Max, playing with his toy airplane in the middle of the living room as Grace and Oliver watched with utmost curiosity. "We know you have many choices but thank you for choosing Max Airlines!" He continued to make airplane noises as he pretended to land his plane across the carpet like a runway. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, if you could please remain seated until the aircraft comes to a full and complete stop." He pretended to taxi the plane and park it next to Grace's foot, pretending it was a gate. Grace and Oliver kept giggling as they enjoyed the show. "Welcome to Grace and Oliver International Airport." Max laughed as well. Just then the front door opened. It was Mrs. Bunny.

"Alright, here we are, Ruby," said Mrs. Bunny, guiding her daughter on crutches into the living room. Ruby struggled a little bit to get through the door, but then plodded across the floor and carpet to the couch.

"Hi, Max," she said humbly as she trudged with her crutches. Max was speechless as he saw his sister like this, wearing a big fat cast around her leg. As Ruby sat down, she set her crutches to the side. Max was a little shy to approach his sister, yet he kept staring at her cast with utmost curiosity.

"Wanna look at my cast?" Ruby said, sticking her leg up in the air. "You can feel it if you like." Max felt his paws all over it, noting how hard it was. "Solid as a rock."

"Why do you have to wear this thing?" asked Max with curiosity.

"Because I broke my leg," said Ruby. Max gasped when she said this. "But don't worry, Max. It will fix itself. It just takes time, and until it heals, I have to wear this cast." She reached over and grabbed her crutches to show to him as well. "And I have to use these crutches to get around."

"You can't walk?" said Max.

"Not normally," said Ruby. "But I will again soon. Um, Dad?"

"Yes, honey?" responded their father.

"Can I have a lift up to my room please?"

"Of course, sweetheart," replied Mr. Bunny, picking up his daughter off the couch. "I'd be happy to."

"You get to be carried up the stairs?" Max said.

"Only because she'd be struggling to get up them quite a bit with crutches," said Mr. Bunny. Max was perplexed as to why all of a sudden Ruby was getting this special treatment. He followed his father carrying his sister upstairs, and watched him lay her down in her bed.

"Thanks, Dad," said Ruby.

"Sure thing," said Mr. Bunny, kissing her forehead and then propping her leg up on a pillow. "Just holler if you need anything, sugarbun." Mr. Bunny left the room as Ruby picked up a fashion magazine and began reading it. Max poked his head inside and continued staring at the cast around his sister's leg. Ruby noticed him.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Ruby said. Max humbly entered the room.

"I was just... wondering if you... wanna play leapfrog with me?"

"Aww, Max, I really wish I could, but that game involves hopping around on your arms and legs, and I can't put any pressure on my leg."

"What about..." Max thought for a moment. "Hopscotch?"

"Sorry, Max. If it involves standing up then I can't do it." She continued reading her magazine.

"Hmm..." Max continued thinking. "How about tic-tac-toe? You don't have to stand up for that."

"Yeah, that sounds like fun," Ruby said nodding. "Pens and paper are on my desk over there. You can set up my nightstand as a table to play on."

"Okay," said Max as he walked over to grab the pens and paper before making his way back and setting up shop. He handed Ruby a pen, laid down the piece of paper and drew a grid. Ruby started out the first match, and within twenty seconds she beat Max.
