Just a few days ago, you would frown at the thought of Yoongi not joining you on the beach but yesterday and today as well, you were glad. These precious hours are now something you cling onto as the only time you don't get to spend with him. Well, the hours you spend on sleep too, but unless you're dreaming of him (which has happened once) those don't really count.
You have morning coffee on the balcony and once that is done, he focuses on his work and you go to the beach. Lunchtime is either spent on your respective balconies or he makes an effort to join you at a restaurant one of you had picked that morning. Back to the beach you go, while he goes on his merry way back to his work. It all repeats in the evening, with you sometimes staying up as late as 3 AM, simply talking and sharing a bottle of wine. Or two.
Your days are so full of Yoongi and you are not complaining in any shape or form but you do relish the time spent alone, simply because it gives you a chance to think about him without him tainting it, without him blurring your mind. You like him, not just as a travel companion, temporary neighbour or an almost friend. With the way you're attracted to him, it would be stupid to deny that you are hoping that something more might happen between the two of you. Those thoughts can't be entertained while he's around you.
You are at the point of questioning everything, every laugh, word, and suggestion. You wonder if he wants to spend time with you because you're fun or maybe because he sees other possibilities. If he teases you, is it because you can take a joke or because he wants to see a reaction, a blush, or an eye roll? Those thoughts can get a bit overwhelming very quickly, which is exactly why you sigh in relief as you lie down on the lounge chair, tuning out the annoying beach music playlist that this bar plays on repeat all day long. It's dangerous to think about him in that way when he's around, when he is close and you don't know what he'll do next.
And time is running out, slowly but surely. The first seven days are done and over with and you only have a week more here, a week more with him. A week you shouldn't waste carelessly, not if you want something more to happen between the two of you.
What would you do, though? Be perfectly blunt and honest, making a very direct first move? Or simply power up the flirting that's already occurring, hoping that he would take the hint and do something about it? Leaving it to him is a risk you might not be ready to make - after all, he is a man and men are notorious for being too stupid for hints. You've been flirting your butt off since the first dinner you've had and other than some playful banter, nothing else had happened.
"So this is what you do every day, huh?"
The sound of Yoongi's voice makes you jump up in a seated position and your eyes open wide. For a moment or two, you wonder if he's a hallucination but your imagination wouldn't be capable of doing his frown justice - the signature nose scrunch and look of distaste has to be genuine, original. And there's no way in hell that your imagination would have made him wear leggings under his shorts, not to the beach at least.
"What are you doing here?" you wonder, noticing the way his eyes scan your body, lingering just one second too long. It's that one second that makes you feel almost naked, as if you're showing more than you should be, as if he hasn't already seen you wearing a swimsuit before. He has, every day when you would walk onto the balcony, but in those cases you were usually wearing shorts or a tank top. He has never had a chance to see so much skin and knowing that he too must have realized it makes you even more sure that something needs to be done.
"I figured that I need to come down here at least once," he complains dramatically which instantly makes you laugh. You already know him enough to understand where he's going with this theatrical behaviour. "You wouldn't shut up about me joining you, so..."
