In Philadelphia, 17 year old Gabe had been left with his foster mom and he is trying to track down his real mom. He lived with a dog name Buddy and they stayed with his foster mom.
“How am I supposed to know what to do on this work?” Gabe asked
“Maybe you should start listening in class instead of goofing off.” His teacher replied.
Gabe turned away and walked home.
“How was school honey?” His foster mom, Taylor asked.
“My teacher screamed at me for asking for help.” And he slammed the door to his room.
When Gabe calmed down, he got on the computer and started searching for his mom again.
Never will I understand why she left me, why my dad had to rob. Gabe thought
Gabe fell asleep on the computer when his mother yelled:
“Gabe! Dinner!”
He woke up and decided he was starving.
The sound of alarm went off in the house, not an alarm clock, a fire alarm.
