Before Annie could go out and reveal herself she got down a paper.

After hearing the news that Y/n passed out after the mission she decided that once she woke up Y/n could meet with Annie later on, so Annie wrote Y/n a note.

Taking her time and saying everything she wanted to say to Y/n with the years they won't be seeing each other.

After the letter was written she snuck into her room and set the note under her pillow.

3rd pov

Levi went back to Y/n's room to see if she had woken up. Turns out she's still peacefully asleep laying there.

It's been a few days now. They called in the doctor a few times but turns out she's fine.

She'll wake up tonight.

Levi told himself.

But even just thinking about her not waking up let a tear fall his left cheek.

Hange breaking into the room Levi jumped wiping away the tear quickly.

"Well how is she?" She barged in.

"Seems she's still sleeping." Levi sighed.

Hange's face softened as they saw the sleeping figure on the bed.

Wondering when she'll ever wake up stressed them out. All the reports needed to be due and new missions with the female titan needed to be done.

Y/n could've helped a little with maybe something she saw before she got thrown.

But with her passed out nothing could be done just yet.

Two days passed and a few visitors came in here and there then finally the doctor came in to check on Y/n again.

Hange, Levi, Conny, Sasha, Mikasa, waited outside the room waiting for the news on Y/n.

Once the doctor came out he had a sad expression on his face. Looked over to Levi and shook his head looking down.

"She didn't make it." The doctor whispered.

Hange just stood there looking at the doctor in disbelief.

Conny and Sasha were on the verge of tears as Mikasa stared at the floor.

Levi just stood there. Backing off and going to his office.

Closing the door softly he slide down letting the tears slide down his face.

Not again.

Why again.

Why me.

She was the only one close to a family I had left!!

Just why now.

He repeated those words in his head. After loosing so many important people in his life he didn't know what to do now.

Not wanting to distance himself from the ones he had left. But it would just hurt more in the end.

He went back out to see Y/n still on the bed. Lifelessly laying there.

"We're wrapping her around evening." Hange came from behind him with a hand on his shoulder.

Hange left him alone to have a moment.

Once they were gone Levi closed the door and locked it, went over to sit on the chair next to her bed.

Looking at her for a moment he looked at the things around her. Looking around the room too.

Putting her hair behind her ears one last time.

This would be the last time he would ever get to touch her.

As the evening came they put out bags to wrap Y/n in.

Levi carried Y/n bridal style and put her down gently.

After her body was carried out to burry later Levi went through all her things.

She had a leftover expired muffin labeled "For Sasha".

A few letters and photographs of her and her sister were hanging around her cabinets.

Some notes on stars on her desk.

Looking over to her bed and folding her galaxy blanket. Putting her pillows away.

As he lifted up the pillow a note fell out underneath.

Hange came in to clean up the trash with a cleaning crew.

Levi headed back to his office and opened the note.

Dear Y/n,

I can't wait to see you again. Things will be hard for a moment here but please forgive me. I have been caught as the female titan so we can not be together for a while. I hope you know what to do from here. I'll meet you soon again my love. Thank you for being there for me even if the world hated me. You were the only other person that stuck with me. We will be able to start our own family once we get through this. Have a safe journey. I'll be waiting for you. Among the stars.

A letter Y/n never got to read.

After reading the note Levi closed it up and let a few tears slide down again.

Y/n loved Annie and did anything she could to protect her. Even if it meant sacrificing few relationships.
