~Fionna’s POV:

“Oh my glob, Cake. I just don’t understand Marshall at all.” I growl as I sit down on my bed. I just got home from Marshall’s.

“What do you mean, Fionna?” my cat asked confused. She had spent the whole afternoon Lord Monochromicorn, and wasn’t here when Marshall showed up wanting me to come over.

“He asked if I was going to the huge dance that Gumball is throwing tonight. I told him yea if he wanted to go with me. Then he said that the only reason I wanted to go with him was to make Gumball jealous. I tried to explain but he wouldn’t listen.” I sigh. “I wish he knew just how I felt.”

“I know, girl. If you want I can talk to him.”

I shake my head. “No. He won’t listen to you. He won’t listen to no one....”

~Marshall’s POV:

“Damn it.” I sigh as I slide down farther into my couch. “I blew my chance with her. Ugh...” I roll over and look at my ax bass. I sigh again as I get up and float over to it. I pick it up and start playing and singing. “Fionna. Do you remember the time we played video games outside, or the time that Cake got stuck in a tree? Can you remember when I nearly died? Without you there, I don’t know where I’d be. Gimme the liberty to guess what you mean to me. Fionna. Oh Fionna. Won’t you let me tell you what you mean to me? Oh and won’t you tell me that you feel the same about me? Oh Fionna. Fionna.” I sigh again as I finish. I look at my ax bass again. “I have to tell her.” I go and grab my hooded cloak. Then I head off toward Fionna and Cake’s treehouse. I tighten my grip on my ax bass. “Even if I have to sing it to her.”
