Butters furrowed his brows and looked over at a blackout drunk Kenny, irritated, "I thought you said you weren't going to drink anymore tonight."

"I lied, did you expect any better from me? I'm more than just drunk though." he said, leaning on the counter trying to support himself.

"Ken!" Leo scolded, throwing down the towel he was holding in frustration.

"Bunny, do you see that knife on the counter over there?" ken sighed looking over to the kitchen knife that hadn't been put away yet.

"Yeah?" Leo looked at Kenny with a suspicious glare.

Kenny looked up, "Can you go get it for me? I can hardly walk right now."

"What for?" Butters hesitated as he questioned his boyfriend, looking between him and the knife.

Kenny sighed, "I want to carve shapes into the counter."

"Oh, well okay then." Butters handed him the knife, still unsure of the situation because it was Kyle's counters but not wanting to anger his drunk boyfriend.

"Thanks.'' Kenny mumbled, stabbing the blade into the wooden countertop.

"I'm becoming a monster, Bunny. why do you stay with me?" His voice was calm and sad, which scared Butters as he feared that Kenny had accepted this fate. Butters hesitated before he answered, wanting to choose his next words carefully.

"That's an easy question, I stay with you because I love you, you're the only person who's ever been nice to me, you always included me when we were younger. Even though none of the other guys liked me. I have every reason to stay with you."

"But I'm a horrible person, I'm just like my dad." Kenny leaned back, looking up at his lover with tears in his eyes.

"You don't have to be, I'm here to help you out Ken, I won't abandon you, I refuse to. You're not a bad person, you're just in a bad place right now, that's okay." His tone was soft and caring, he really did want to help him, it was just difficult when he refused the help he needed.

"I'm too far gone, I don't think I can ever be normal." Kenny closed his eyes as tears fell down his cheeks, dripping onto all the little triangles and hearts carved into the wood.

"I don't think anyone's normal in this world, everyone's suffering." Butters comforted, putting his hand on the others back.

"I'm fucked, Bunny. What if I lose you too? I don't think I could handle that." fear seeped into his words as he played the scene over in his head. He didn't want to lose butters too.

"You won't lose me Ken, I'll always be here." Butters leaned in and hugged his boyfriend. Kenny growled, "Don't lie to me."

"I'm not lying to you.'' Butters stepped back, slightly offended Kenny would believe that he'd lie to him like that.

"Bunny... you are, even if you don't know it yet." Kenny looked down sadly as he stabbed the knife into the counter again.

"Huh? What is that supposed to mean?" Butters eyed the knife carefully as the other stabbed the counter mindlessly.

"Nothing, I'm just thinking out loud." Kenny stared blankly at where the counter and knife met.

"Ken. Let me help you." Butters whined, he was losing his boyfriend and he didn't know what to do.

"No. I can't be helped." Kenny sighed, defeatedly, he doesn't want Butters' help in all honesty.

"Please let me try at least?" He pleaded desperately, tears welling in his eyes as his voice finally broke.

"Isn't that what you've been doing? It's not working." Annoyance and anger filled Kenny's voice for a split second before he caught himself.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do." Butters looked down at the counter, letting the tears fall as the thoughts of losing his boyfriend overwhelmed his mind.

"There's nothing you can do." He spoke softly, staring blankly at the floor.

"Kenny please..! I don't wanna lose you." Butters' voice was broken and filled with desperation.

"No matter how badly I want to leave I just can't." Kenny put his head in his hands, running his fingers through his hair as he sighed.

"What?" He looked at him, concern filling his eyes as he watched Kenny.

"Nothing Bunny." Kenny ran his finger down the blade as he watched his reflection. He has become the monster he feared, it was so clear.

"Why are you looking at that knife so intensely?" He had been watching the emotions in Kenny's eyes. The more he watched the less he trusted Kenny with the knife.

"I'm just trying to focus on this so I can clear my mind.."

"Oh well alright then..." Butters looked at him cautiously, not fully trusting him. He didn't know what it was but something was off about his Kenny, he just had a bad feeling.

"Every time I look in the mirror I don't see just myself." Kenny angled the knife so he could see Butters' face in the reflection too. "What do you mean by that?"

"I see you, and Karen, and how we used to be." His voice broke thinking of his little sister.

"Used to be... Kenny, just because Karen is gone doesn't mean you can't still be happy." Butters looked at the floor in front of him. The day he lost Karen everything fell apart. He wished they could be happy like that again.

"Doesn't it though? You and Karen were the only things that ever made me happy. I don't deserve it." Kenny Looked sadly at the knife. Thoughts flooded his mind. He didn't deserve to be happy. He doesn't deserve to be with Butters.

"You do though." His voice was sad. He didn't want to see the love of his life feel so hopeless and blindly stumble through life.

"No, I don't." Kenny's eyebrows furrowed as his thoughts got louder. He hated seeing Butters so desperately trying to save the human trash he viewed himself as.

"I'm still here though, I still make you happy don't I?"

"Yeah... um." Butters made him happy but he didn't deserve it. Butters didn't deserve to deal with him but he knew Butters wouldn't leave him. Kenny knew what he had to do.

"What is it..?" Butters leaned in.

"I'm sorry." Kenny looked up, staring Butters in the eyes numbly.

"For what?.." He looked at the other, Butters could tell he wasn't right.

"Everything... Bunny I'm so sorry you had to deal with me for so long." Kennys voice was unnervingly calm. His eyes looked dead.

"Oh well that's alright Ken, I'm happy to help you." He tried to have a happy tone, he wanted to help, genuinely help but he wasn't sure if he was getting through.

"You won't have to put up with me anymore." Kenny looked back at the knife, gripping it harder.

"...What do you mean by that?" fear flashed in Butters' eyes as he thought Kenny was hinting at suicide. Little did he know what Kenny was about to do was much worse than he imagined.

Kenny grabbed Butters by the collar and kissed him, raising the knife above his head and stabbed him in the back. Kenny pulled back, staring into his eyes, watching the fear, betrayal, and sadness flash in them. Butters gasped and whined as Kenny held the knife in his upper back. Butters didn't fight it. He was in shock and no matter how much he wanted to run and scream for help he was afraid to move.

"Kenny...why...?" Butters managed out in a shaky voice as he struggled to breath.

Kenny put his hand on his shoulder and pulled the knife out, "I'm so sorry. Please forgive me." He whispered out, stabbing the knife into the back of Butters skull, finishing his boyfriend off. Kenny stood over his boyfriends corpse and collapsed to his knees as he screamed. Now that everything he ever cared about is gone, Kenny could finally rest, he raised the knife above himself and dug it into his throat. He fell over the other's corpse as he pulled the knife out immediately after and slowly bled out on Kyle's kitchen floor.
