The Jester and The Fox (On Hold)

Chapter 2

The next day came and the day started as it normally does when Kit was there.
Everyone got ready for the day. Most of the Underwhere's prisoners knew what was to come with Kit being there. Once the fox girl got ready she went to the queen with her list of final decisions.

Queen Jaydes noticed Dimentio's name at the very top of the list.

"So you truly have thought this over?," she asked the kitsune.

"Yes your majesty. My decision is final," she answered back.

"So be it. Guards, go gather up the group on this list."

Different groups of D-Guards looked at the list of names and went to the dungeons where each prisoner was kept.

A pair of guards approached Dimentio's cell and opened the cell door.

"Get up. You're needed in the throne room," one guard said.

"What could I possibly be needed for...?," questioned the jester as he slowly looked over at the guards.

"Don't ask. You'll just have to see," answered the other guard.

Dimentio let out a sigh and stood up.
He struggled to walk since he wasn't used to it. He hadn't walked much in the thousand years he had been locked up.

Once he got thru the door the guards at least helped him the rest of the way to the throne room.

"Wow, you're clumsy."
"Eh, where you're going you'll have time to figure out how to walk properly," the two guards said to the stumbling jester.

"I- what? Wh-What do you mean by that?," Dimentio asked in a slightly scared tone.

The guards just laughed and stayed silent after that. All they wanted was for Dimentio to worry until he found out the truth. And it was working. Dimentio was scared for his life. He had no idea what to expect.

Soon the three entered the throne room. Upon entry Dimentio saw three shaydes and two dry bones that he had to stand next to and then he noticed Kit standing next to Queen Jaydes. He was surprised to see her still there and took his place next to the last shayde as Kit counted everyone making sure all six were there.

"1... 2... 3... 4... 5 aaaaaannnnd... 6! Hello, my new group! I'm sure you all remember me from my visit yesterday. You six have been chosen specifically for the redemption program this time around! Some may change instantly, others may take time.
But that's all right! We'll all be spending plenty of time together at the redemption center! I'm sure you're happy and excited to get a second chance at life!," she said happily.

The tips of her tails all glowed blue and she opened a portal.

"Now if everyone will please step through here we can get started!"

Dimentio stood there confused the entire time.
'Redemption program?'
'A second chance at life?'
What is going on here?

The shaydes and dry bones all passed by him as he stood there completely confused and speechless. He had so many questions about what was going on, but couldn't
seem to ask any of them.

Kit was given the key for Dimentio's magic restraints.
When she looked over at him, she noticed he hadn't moved an inch.
She walked up to him and saw how confused he was.

"Dimentio? Come on. I know you have questions about what's going on.
I'll answer them a little later at the redemption center, alright?," the fox asked taking hold of the jester's hands. He just stayed quiet as Kit unlocked the magic restraints and guided him through the portal.

Magic still weak, all Dimentio could do was attempt to walk.
Kit noticed him stumbling and couldn't help but wonder how long it's been since the jester actually walked. She remembered him always floating around when they first met.
