Darling.

Chapter one.

"He literally just blanked me in the biology corridor as if I was a complete stranger," Maddison complains repetitivly.
"Like he's all flirty in text then we get into college and he just ignores my existence." She continues, this is going to be a long walk home if this is the extent of our conversation.

"Why do you care?" I ask, I hope she senses this is more of a rhetorical question.

"What if he's talking to Sophie again? He hugged her in the last house party before he even offered me a drink, Luna this could be a disaster." She explains, I guess she doesn't realise I don't care.

"Your story is melting my ice cold heart and evaporating my non existent soul." I remark sarcastically as we get to the bottom of the hill, pretending I care and walking up this hill would have been hell of a task.

"Could you even just act like you cared for like two minutes?" She asks whist giggling, knowing she is going to have a lack of sympathy talking to me about this kind of stuff.
"Actually, don't even answer that."

We laugh and make our way up the hill, Maddison and I have been friends for years and have walked home together from the first day we met.

"So tomorrow for this party, Tom is going to be there and he could even bring a friend along if you wanted?" She asks sheepishly.

I glare at her, I don't know she is expecting me to say, that would be my worst nightmare.

"I don't see where I come into this." I respond wishfully, hoping she drops the whole thing.

"Well I was thinking..." She begins.

"Let me just stop you there," I interupt, "Thinking is not your strong suit and it should be avoided wherever possible,"

"Luna, you need to start seeing boys as more than friends," she begins naively. I really don't understand why she is so persistent with me finding a relationship. "Boys flirt with you and you just friendzone them in such a cold way."

I love she assumes I don't do this on purpose.
