New Best Friends

Izumi was playing with her wolf plushy and giggling as she threw it in the air before catching it. She was sitting near her father's police cruiser as she did that. She noticed some soldiers were chatting and she wondered where her mother was.

Sullen was watching her closely nearby to make sure none of the soldiers dared to ruin her innocence or time.

Izumi tilted her head up a little too far when she threw her plushy in the air and fell backwards. Her eyes widened when she realized gravity was pulling her plushy down and it landed a couple inches from where she lay.

Sullen walked over feeling worried for her and asked, "Are you okay, Izumi?"

Izumi's eyes were on her plushy before she got up quickly and went over to her wolf and hugged it while sniffling.

Sullen picked her up feeling worried for her. "What's wrong, sparkling?"

Izumi looked at him and buried her face in his chest. She gripped his shirt and cried. She didn't want to talk since she was too worried for her plushy.

Sullen understood why she was upset since she thought the plushy was real.

Izumi hugged her wolf close and snuggled into it. She wanted to have another wolf or a cat.

Sullen went to where he knew Yemon was.

Izumi was hiding her face in her plushy's fur so no one can see she was crying a little earlier.

Yemon looked up and smiled at them. He took Izumi away from Sullen and nuzzled his little sparkling.

Izumi buried her face in his chest and sniffled a little. She was still upset over what happened to her plushy.

Yemon wondered what happened and asked Sullen of it.

Harley was listening to some soldiers talk about things that she rolled her eyes at.

The three then went to find Harley.

Harley was in the training room and was brushing up on her shooting range. She had decided since she had to stop shooting since she was pregnant with Izumi, she might as well catch up.

Sullen walked up to Harley and whispered something to her so she doesn't get spooked and shoot him. Yemon waited while holding his daughter close.

Harley placed her gun down and walked over to Yemon after nodding her head to Sullen.

Yemon smiled and gave Izumi to Harley.

Harley rubbed Izumi's back while she kissed her daughter's head.

Yemon hugged the two close while smiling.

Harley laid her head on the taller male's shoulder and smiled softly as she watched their little girl hug her plushy.

Yemon whispered to Harley, "Should we tell her?"

Harley smiled and looked up at him before nodding her head. She knew her daughter would be excited.

The man smiled back at her.

The woman looked at the little girl and noticed she was yawning tiredly. She hoped their daughter would stay awake since they had a surprise for her.

"Why don't we bring her instead?" Yemon whispered.

Harley looked up at him before shrugging her shoulders and nodding her head.

They walked towards the police cruiser and wondered how Izumi will react to the surprise.

Izumi yawned again and snuggled into her mother and fell asleep.
