"So?" Techno asked eyeing up the oldest in the room.
Phil sunk in his seat, his eyes scanning every nook and crevice of the room. He eyed his second youngest son who looked genuinely concerned and kinda pissed.
God, what has he gotten himself into?

"You boys don't understand-" Phil half pleaded.
"Then explain," Ranboo replied.
"What do you want me to say?!" Phil cried.

Ranboo eyed the older two, unclear of what they wanted fully.
Wilbur inched closer with the intent of sitting beside his dad, Phil flinched in response.
"Why didn't you come back when she was dead?" Wilbur asked.
There was a moment of silence before Phil sighed.

"You don't underst-" Phil began again.
"Which is why we're asking you!" Techno cut him off with a low growl.
"I-I'm not allowed to explain to you-" Phil whimpered, his wings burned with the sin of lies.

"Why not?" Techno asked.
"Boys stop," Phil ordered.
"No, dad! Please, we can help you!" Wilbur insisted.

Phil shakily stood up. Wilbur went to block his way to the exit but was taken off guard by Phil cupping his face lovingly.
"You can't save me from my sins, Wilby. Just like how I couldn't save Schlatt. I'm sorry," Phil hummed a sad smile on his face.

Before any questions could be asked Wilbur collapsed to the wooden cabin floor and Phil was out the back door.
"Wilbur!" Sally cried out in surprise.
Looking around frantically it became evidently clear, Fundy and Purpled weren't there either.

"Dammit! After him!" Techno ordered angrily before rushing to his twin.
The guards raced after the man into the woods as Sally became frantic.
"What? What is wrong woman?!" Techno snapped.
"Techie, don't be angry with her," Wilbur groaned holding his head.

Techno let our a sigh of anger and relief his face returning to it's usual blank slate.
"Hard not to. What happened?" Techno huffed.
"I- I honestly don't know. One moment I was fine the next I had a horrible migrane and then the next I was on the floor with you hunched over me," Wilbur admitted glancing around.
"Where's my sons?" Wilbur asked looking around.
No one corrected him on the status of Purpled being Ranboo's technically, not his.
"Sh*t."

"Sh*t!" Tommy whined, his back aching like h#ll.
Tubbo let out a soft chuckle earning him a curt glare.
"Sorry I can'd do much about the back ache," Tubbo chuckled, "You are significantly larger than  I am, so bring scrunched up in a well and crawling through a tiny cave tunnel probably would do that to ya. Keep forgetting."
"B*tch."

This was a new side of Tommy. More relaxed, more vulgure. It felt real.
Tubbo liked it!

"So, how long do you suppose we stay in here?" Tommy asked a hand trailing a staligmite absently, feeling all of the bumps and the wetness it harbored.
He kind of wished he payed more attention to Wilbur's ramblings when he was younger.

"I'd say a little less than a week, let everything cool off," Tubbo replied.
Tommy hummed. Guess his back wasn't going to be getting a break any time soon.
"Ok, and where will we go after that? We can't exactly go home anymore," Tommy huffed pulling his wet pant legs and sleeves up to the next joint.
Tubbo looked.... confused? Sad, maybe?

"You don't know?" Tommy asked cocking his head.
"Know what?" Tubbo asked.
"It's not gonna cool down Tubbo. Not for months. We need a plan for after this. Like, when I first ran away I changed my clothing, got a new look other than my hair and eyes, changed my social standing and my perspectives, got a place to stay and eventually got a job. Tho, you know that last 2," Tommy chuckled.
Tubbo smiled and nodded.

"What should we do then?" Tubbo asked cautiously.
"Well, we could start by changing our names! You could go by your original name, if they know 'Tubbo' that is, or something and I could be-" Tommy paused to think over his options.

Tubbo let out a soft hum before remembering a storybook he saw in the library. He didn't read it, considering he can't read, but he thinks it kinda suits Tommy.
"What about 'Theseus'?" Tubbo offered.

Tommy paused. He regonized that name from somewhere but he can't for the life of him think of where from. But the suggestion came from Tubbo so..... sure, why not!
"Ok! Sounds cool!" Tommy agreed.
Tubbo grinned, proud of himself.

"We should probably find work and a home as soon as possible," Tommy moved on.
"Hey Tommy?" Tubbo caught the younger's attention.
"Yes Tubbo?" Tommy turned to him.

"How bad was your family that you had to run away?"

Why the f*ck did the babies come too?!
At first they had just rushed after him. He thought that they would stop and waddle back on home to their dads when they got tired, but nope! They declared that staying with grandpa was far superior of a need and the younger fox pup climbed onto the year older's back and they raced after their winged grandfather.

This was great.
Just great.

"Go home!" Phil pleaded.
He didn't mind that they were with him, he loved the boys. But he seriously couldn't take his sons being heartbroken by losing their sons. It was so, so hard for him. He wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Finally giving up hope that they would go back to their dads he scooped them up and carried them. Purpled giggled and blew a raspberry at the adult. He totally deserved it, but this sassy creature needs to calm down.
Phil opened his wings as he got to an open area, getting ready to take flight.

He froze in his tracks, fear laden throughout his body.

Almost anyone. He wouldn't wish that fate on almost anyone. This man-

The horned man grabbed his arms so tightly Phil knew there'd be bruising.
"Phil~ my angel!" he cooed as a greeting.

-can lose everything he ever cares about including his parents and children right in front of his face and Phil wouldn't give a sh*t.

"Schlatt, you manage to get to Hell yet?"

To be fair though, he probably wouldn't give a sh*t either.
